*Itachi's P.O.V*
My blood boiled at the news of Sakura's capture. My first instinct had been to be mad at my brother, the one person I had trusted her with, but I knew from his condition that he had tried to get to her but failed. The blame could only be placed on the people who had taken her and my father for issuing it. I was torn on how to feel with Kakashi being her. I was thankful for his help with the mission, but I also felt offended. It made me believe that Tsunade did not trust my skills for the mission.
"I am not here to take over the mission. I was sent to help you locate her. The status of the mission has grown dire and we need to get to her before they hurt her. I am just as worried about her as you are. She was my student for many years, even though I did not focus enough attention to her, I still care about her well being." Kakashi said as he stood behind me.
Damn, I had let him see my emotions. He had known from the minute I walked off how I felt about him being her.
"I know this. I appreciate your help in finding her. I am actually surprised that Tsunade has not requested me home yet. In missions as such as these, I would never be allowed to be on this mission. I am guessing that I am only still on this mission because I have the skills and intelligence to take down my father." I said as I turned to face him.
"No, you are still on this mission because she knows she could never keep you in the village with her missing. We all know you to well. You would do everything you could to do it alone in that instance." He said with a smile.
I sighed and looked to the ground. Everything he has just said was true. I would never sit still while Sakura was gone. I would be hunting him down myself if I had too. I would risk my own life to save hers if it came down to it.
Kakashi placed his hand on my shoulder and said, "She is lucky to be with someone like you. I know what you plan to do and know I will not allow that to happen. You have a whole team here to help you take him down and more on the way. You are not doing this alone and I will be damned if I allow you to die for her. You will walk out of there with her, Itachi."
"I would do anything for her, Kakashi. I am willing to walk right into where my father is and sacrifice myself to save her. I should not be thinking like this on a mission but I am. I am not stable enough to be doing this mission, but I am needed for my skills." I told him.
I could tell he knew how I felt. He had an emotional tie to Sakura as well, but nothing like mine. She was his student and he was put on the mission to locate her as well. I am sure everyone who was on their way here was tied to her as well. There was no one in the village who wasn't tied to her in some way.
*Sakura's P.O.V*
I had been blindfolded since we left the village. This man was being sure that I could not send a message to anyone to help them locate me. It had been hours since Fugaku had been here to torment me. He had finally left me alone, but now I was locked in a room was only my thoughts. He had left me tied up, I couldn't move or do anything. I had given up trying to break free an hour ago. I knew I had shackles or something on me to keep my chakra low.
