Emerald Ties

Chapter 1

 *Unknown Ninja P.O.V* 

   How in the world no one had noticed me slip into the village was unknown to me. For months they had kept us Uchiha out of the village and murdered the ones who were caught. I had easily slipped in and have been able to spy on the girl. I had been given orders to retrieve her at all costs and I was not going to fail. If he wanted her, then I would surely get her for him. After all, I have everything to gain in this agreement. He had promised me a go with her after he was done with her. 

   I have noticed how securely she has been watched. I have barely seen her alone since I have been watching her. The hokage has kept her in her office or at home. The poor girl look stressed and always kept a good look over her shoulders. She knew something was coming and was she ever right. This girl would be ours in no time. 

    *Sakura's P.O.V* 

   Finally, I have been allowed to roam the village. I needed this, I needed to be able to move freely even if someone was watching me at all times. It had been about six months since we came back and everything had been okay so far. There have been fewer and fewer Uchiha's breaking into the village. Itachi had been going on missions again and he fought tooth and nail to stay here with me every time. He was still a ninja and had a duty to fulfill to the village so he went anyway. I know he hated leaving me but he was assured that I would be okay and that no one would hurt me. 

   "Hey, Sakura! Where are you heading off too?" A voice called out from behind me.. Sasuke. 

    "I am just taking a walk. What are you doing in this area of the village? I thought you were patrolling by the hokage's mansion?" I asked him as he walked up beside me. 

   "I was and she found me and told me to stick with you. There have been reports of an Uchiha in the village and we have to stick to you now. No one can find this ninja and we will not take any chances." He said. 

   I had a feeling I have been watched for the last few days but I thought it was just my paranoia. Sasuke placed his arm around me and walked with me. Itachi would surely kill him if he saw this. 

   "I am buying you lunch. I will not take no for an answer." Sasuke said. 

   I smiled softly at his words. I was happy to have my friend near me again. He spent most days on patrol and was hardly ever around. He was one of the few ninja in the village who could take out on of his own. Him, Itachi and Naruto had the best chances of taking them out. Kakashi-sensei may be one of them too.  

   *Sasuke's P.O.V*

   I had orders to stick with her until this guy was found. If it was easy to sneak in then I have no doubt it would be easy for him to take her while she was alone. I would not allow that to happen. We had taken to many measures to protect her to allow anyone to come in this easily and steal her from us.
