Chapter 7 - New Years Pt. 2 of 2

Over the next few days Jin has been visiting the coffee shop for his order of seven coffees and teas. It was nice to see him. I could even recognize him with his mask on now. Tomorrow is Sunday and I need to find an outfit to wear to go out with Jin. Time to go shopping!

I leave my apartment but no before saying goodbye to my pets. I walk to the nearest shopping district. It was a long ways to walk but by car it would have only taken a few minutes. It was midday and there were a lot of people out and about on the streets most likely doing their own shopping. The cold weather would not let up so I was covered head to toe in layers of warm clothes. My black knee length coat was keeping me especially toasty along with the (f/c) scarf that was wrapped around my neck. I wore knee high black snow boots, some black jeans and a loose black blouse underneath my coat. Today I decided to wear all black, save for my scarf, the sky was gloomy so my clothing reflected the mood.

I made it to the first store that caught my attention. I quickly entered to get out of the cold. I could feel myself thawing out like a hot pocket in a microwave. I looked around for a while before deciding that none of the clothes there were my style so I left and went to another clothing store. That store did not have what I wanted which made me sad. Two more stores later I finally found a complete outfit that would look cute and chic. I bought another thick black coat that was in a different style than the others that I owned. There was a loose light pink and grey shirt that felt soft and comfortable when I tried it on so I immediately put it in the shopping basket that was given to me at the entrance of the store. A pair of black, knee high, high heeled boots were screaming at me to buy them. One look at the price tag nearly had me running home to hide under my bed. Ouch. All this shopping is going to put a dent into my wallet. But they are so hot and worth it. It's for Seokjin, (y/n)! For Seokjin! Don't worry, you get your paycheck next week, you'll be fine! If only that settled my need for spending less.

When I was finished shopping it was nearly 5:00 p.m. and the sun was already starting to set. I was hungry so I went to a nearby cafe. The place looked cute so I went inside. I placed my order and sat down at a table near the back of the cafe. Once settled in the booth I looked at my phone and saw that I had a few messages from one of my friends and from Jin. I opened Jin's message first.

I was glad that I had the next week off for the holidays at both of my jobs. Jin responded to my messages quickly as if he was anticipating them.
