There was a knock on the door. Who could be knocking at this time! I'm about to get ready! I paced slowly towards the door and mumbled, in fear "who is it?" It was Ogu. What was she doing here?
"Erm I'm here to walk with you because I hear you live nearby me so I thought we could walk together." Quickly, I placed back the knife and then ran up the stairs to clean my wounds and get ready.
"Coming!" I shouted from upstairs as I dabbed my wounds with a cloth. I allowed the sting of the water to run through as dabbed it gently, stroking it slowly. This is what you want for me God, I mumbled. This is what you gat and I hope your happy. I grabbed my toothbrush, after dabbing my wounds, and began to brush my teeth. As I did tried to hold down the tears of my wounds and held up my smile, hoping it would stay there. I hitched my teeth up to test which smile would work best and as I did, I saw it.
"What?" I growled. He cackled a deep, roaring cackle and then pounced to my wrist, holding it tight. Suddenly, there’s a current spreading, like viruses in my veins as all the control of myself evaporated and all I could feel was the heat and anger of everything in my life burn through me
"You are never going to get out you're my slave forever!" He whispered and I screamed as the current through his arm bolted through my body, freezing each part of my body and making it still. When I could finally think again I found two big, black and red, chain marks. As hard as I rubbed I couldn't get it off. I looked up to see Ogu in my bathroom with a kind smile on her face.
"Wow. She smiled. Some tattoo, I thought you weren't allowed tattoos in school."
"It's called being a Badass girl." I blared my most plastic smile as I wiped my mouth from toothpaste. How on earth did she get into my house, I wondered, until I saw the window left open.
We began to talk about our nights and I began to tell her a fib about my mum buying me new clothes and my cousin from America was visiting for the night but she took it all in, nodding as well and giving comments. By the time we got to the main road to cross into school we met Michel. By the way he was looking at me I knew he didn't like Ogu. I quickly said that I had to get to my locker and ran away hoping she wasn't following me. I ran up to him and gave him a hug as he twirled me round.
"Hey babe!" he smiled. "You coming?"
"Course I am!" I chuckled as he brought his lips towards mine.
"I'm happy about that." He's the only guy who doesn't make me feel awkward and rejected, always complimenting me and really helpful. I don't see what Ogu is talking about, she just needs to chill and stop talking like my mum all the time! He held my hand as he looked down at my wrists.
"Cool tattoo, who gave it you?" I shuddered a. His ghastly white face with dark eye lashes and dripped of blood by his polished white teeth which stuck out to the front. His crooked finger on my shoulder, with his elongated tiger claws and the pupil in his eye growing larger and fiery red. The shock the sharp pain....
"I'm assuming you don't like the look of the tattoo man. Trust me, they freak me out. The one on my arm had another eye on his eye and it really freaked me out." he chuckled and twinkle his eyes in the why which made me attracted to him. I took his hand and we walked into class but as soon as I saw Ogu I quickly removed my hand and pretended I didn't know him. Michel saw this and scowled at her taking back my hand
"Who do you love more." he growled. "Me or her" his eyes swivelled to Ogu who had a look of concern on her face. I swivelled my eyes towards Ogu who was shacking her head and then to Michel who held firmly to my hand.
"You," I smiled. I don’t know what came over me to say that but I guess I know him more so I should love him more- Right? "You're always nice to me." Ogu seemed to look so sad and worried at the same time as I remembered what she said about Michel. 'He is part of them.' He can't be. I mean, how would she know, she barely knows me? Or does she. I just want this party over with so that I can be friends with Ogu comfortably. We walked into our first class and as soon as our geography teacher came in the class he separated us- again. He knows our link (everyone does) so he tries to separate us and stop us from being together, which is a real bummer because geography is a boring subject. However, today, Mr Robins was SMILING!
"Hello class!" he smiled and I really got creeped out because Mr. Robins NEVER SMILES- he just growled and scowled so don't ask me why he's called robins, (A really sweet bird). But today he was smiling and he let me and Michel sit together.
"Of course you two can sit together because you don't need to listen to my class because geography isn't important. Today, you kids can talk and do whatever you want today!" You should have seen the look on everyone's face. Our eyes popped open and then we all started screaming and shouting, pushing Mr Robins out of the class (in case he changes his mind) and turned on our phones and using the computer to play the latest songs. When we finally got to Ed Shearan, 'Drunk again,’ we had our own disco.
"You coming tomorrow?" he whispered. In school uniform he smelled so nice and it's like I can’t resist his pull from the smell. Our uniform consists of grey for boys and navy for girls with a grey tie for the boys. However, when you get to sixed from you can wear whatever suit-based clothes you want- I don't complain! I was supposed to apply for oxford but I couldn't be bothered so I just applied for Liverpool. (What? it's far from my mom which is all I need). Being in year twelve, the luxuries we have is uncountable, covering the pain of the 24/7 lectures from my mom and from school. Sixed from ruled. (Not including the revisions and the horrible things bounding me that night) I looked down at the thing the chain-marks and sighed. I'll be free one day- Ogu's going to help me. Just you wait! I really want it to be fast but things take time apparently. Me and Ogu were having a conversation about that. I leaned against his chest as I silently whispered into his chest everything that I never told a single soul in my life, giving his all the trust in the world as he rubbed my head and whispered that he understood and will try and fix everything. He smiled and gave me a kiss, and then walks out of the door, telling me to wait there. My curiosity however could not stand any of that and I took pace behind him. He headed out of the classroom and creaked down the corridors, me trailing behind him. He looked left and right as he opened a locker and stepped inside. Where was he going?
"I wouldn't follow him if I were you." I turned around in shock to meet Ogu, with a broad smile o her face. He hands were out and there was something about her hands that I couldn't stop looking at. I was cut. Not just cut, freshly cut, still bloody and bleeding. As she came closer, I could see she had something strange about her back. On her back seemed to be completely transparent wings, in which only in best people with eyesight could see.
"Who are you?" I whispered, mind in awe of her wings. "How do you know me?"
"Your key out." She smiled. She held my hand with her delicate wrist and lifted my sleeve, revealing the cuts and scars. I scowled at her and slapped her hand off my own but she held strong and rubbed her hand across it. "I can help," is what she said as the wounds suddenly cured and the chain marks disappeared. "You just need to ask." Slowly, I lifted my head to hers and know immediately who she was.
"NO!" I screamed, not caring who heard. "I HATE YOU AND MY THOUGHTS FOR THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE!"
With that I took pace and sprinted hurriedly down the corridors and out of the school. 'I never want to see her again' I mumbled.
“You sure don’t,” growled a voice and I stopped in my tracks. Wich trembling hands I spun round to see.....
