Chapter Four (Part ONE)

'Adelene (A/N: Pronunciation ah-deh-lain) I need you to wake up now, it's almost time for me to leave..' said the voice in my head.

I shut my eyes tightly and slowly opened them, such a cliché, but that how it happened. My eyes shot straight to the foot of my bed, where Nathaniel was standing. He wasn't smiling. Or frowning. He had an emotionless look on his face. I got up but my body was stiff, like I hadn't moved in days.

"That's because you haven't moved in days." He said a duh tone in his voice.

"What do you mean?" I asked, my voice sounded hoarse.

"You've been asleep for 10 days." My eyes widened in shock, "the doctor said you were in a comma."

"That can't be right. I don't remember it? and you told me to get up..."

"I know, it just shows how pathetic human doctors are." I rolled my eyes.

"I suppose you knew what was wrong with me?" He walked around to my side of the bed and sat down next to me.

"I did." I saw his eyes grow dark, and gulped, "I need blood, I haven't fed in 11 days."

"I see that," I said, gesturing to his eyes, "but answer my question, what was wrong with me?" He rolled his eyes, he almost looked like a teenage in that moment, almost.

"You weren't in a comma, but a state of unconsciousness, which I put you under," I was about to ask why but he continued, "because, you needed the rest, I didn't mean for it to go till 10 days... but it did." I was about to ask how... but he spoke again, "and it was pretty simple... I 'knocked you out.'" He said putting air quotations.

"So I was in comma," I said raising an eyebrow.

"No, because I could wake you up anytime."

"But to a HUMAN DOCTOR WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT VAMPIRES, it would seem like a comma." He shrugged, I smacked his head, ignoring the pain in my hand when I did.

"Ow, Adelene, that hurt so much, im dying." He said in a monotone mocking voice. I glared at him. His eyes flashed red.

"You need blood." He rolled his eyes.

"No shit."

"well... go get some?" he raised an eyebrow. "what?"

"have you lost your memory? You are my feeder, I need your blood. I can't have anyone elses."

"why can't you have anyone elses?" he pinned me down on the bed, his eyes held mischief.

"I've just about had enough of your questions human." He said as he leaned down and kissed the throbbing vein on my neck. "This won't hurt... at all." He said and he bit down. I flinched as it stung a little as he did... like two needles were going into my skin. But then... I felt no pain. I felt nothing at all actually. My eyes drifted shut and I was in a white place. I looked down at myself and noticed I was wearing a white dress... well this is strange. I thought when vampires bite you... you either feel extreme pain, or pleasure. I heard a chuckle around me.

'would you like to feel pleasure?'

'Well, it's better than feeling nothing.' I thought back. All of a sudden the white room was gone, I felt his tongue press again my neck, lightly licking my blood. I moaned. My eyes shot open, I felt a rumble grow through his chest.

'Don't do that again, I think I'd like to keep the rest of my dignity.' I could practically hear him shrug as he said the next words.

'you asked for it.'

After what seemed like eternity he licked my wound shut and then pulled back.

"That took a while..." I said.

"No, no it didn't. it was actually only 5 minutes." He said looking at his clock.

"What?! No way!" I screamed back.

"Yep, but you felt nothing so it seemed like for ever to you... if you would have chosen pleasure it would have been much faster." He smirked. I felt a blush creep on my cheeks, which was kinda funny since he just drained me? "I didn't drain you. You're a feeder now, you produce blood much faster then humans." i looked at his face, his cheeks looked flush and red, his hair was messy, and his eyes were an emerald green. They looked gorgeous, I could stare into them forever.

"did you forget I can read your thoughts again?" he asked raising an eyebrow at me, breaking me from my trance.

"errr." He laughed, like really laughed, and I don't think I've heard him do that in the time I've known him. He stopped laughing, and the serious look returned to his face.

"you need to get showered and ready, its dinner time." He got up and walked to the door, as he passed the mirror, his eyes widened in shock, and he quickly grabbed a comb flattening his hair, I couldn't help but giggle. He looked at me and glared, the quote "if looks could kill.." passed through my head, and it was his turn to laugh.

"by the way, YOU did this to my hair, you should really control your hands." He said, making me blush again. Gawsh, I sound like Bella, ew.

"I'll send a few maids to bring your dress and get you ready." And with that he walked out the door.

What a nice vampire he is.
