Getting up that day I felt that I needed to go back to where I began. Getting the letters out of the mailbox and looking down I knew I was right. I knew I had to practice again.Opening the letter I closed my eyes and focused. The sender was clear.
"Ooooh it's been a while." He said. I sighed.
"I know." I said gently, I still wasn't used to talking out without anyone else knowing who I was talking to, "I have to ask you. There has been a change in the winds, the very air of the earth has shifted. Is it time?" There was a pause and I almost felt the need to speak again but he started talking.
"I knew you would be one of the first to realize that the time has drawn nigh. I am rallying forces as we speak. Stay where you are. You are safe there. No need to put yourself in danger, and if your mother knew what I had taught you she would have a coronary." I heard him chuckle.
"But I can fight. And you said it yourself, the good guys will only fight back. I have to help you." He shook his head again and I sighed, "Fine but you know if Mother finds out about my power she will force me to help the good side." He nodded.
"And you'll be more likely to survive there." I frowned.
"Dad, I don't care. How dare you decide my fate. I believe everything you do. We both know Mother doesn't understand the truth. How could you ask me to work for them?" I asked. He laughed.
"You know I love you more than the galaxies, and the worlds, and all the people living on them?" He asked. I nodded, even though I knew he couldn't see it, "Then you know why I have to make you fight for the good."
