I should probably back up. Earlier today (rather tonight) I was sitting at my computer. I was mindlessly scrolling through twitter just minding my own business when a loud ringing came out of nowhere.
Scrambling to find the source, I knocked over about a dozen things: lamps, books, plates, cups, trinkets. I never did find the source. Instead I was blinded by light that began and ended everywhere.
Trying to get the light and the noise out of my head I ran towards the door of my room only to be lifted off the ground at a less than fast pace. I went straight through the ceiling and passed through the attic until I was outside. Except I wasn't on the lawn or the roof, I was in the sky.
Rising higher and higher my fear of heights was at its peak. Terror ripped through me as I sped through the sky.
Higher and higher I nearly broke through the ozone but I stopped short. Big doors opened into a house that looked almost exactly like mine.
Next thing I knew I was standing on the front porch and heading through the open doors. I expected to stop breathing but was pleasantly surprised when not only could I breathe, but I could smell cookies.
I made my way to the kitchen and saw a large plate with a note.
The note was empty but it was a nice gesture. I took a cookie and started roaming around the house. It was exactly like mine except cleaner. (Not to say I was a disgusting person, but I was quite cluttered.)
After touring around the house I noticed this house had a basement. I didn't have a basement in my house. So I went for it. In the basement were little aliens dancing, no, skating. They were round and flat, like a squished cylinder. Their colors changed every so often. Some went from red to purple, others went from green to brown. Either way it was a spectacular performance.
So I sat there watching pancakes ice skate in a lunar basement with no idea why I was here, but I couldn't care less.
