I shifted uncomfortably as everyone continued to stare. Emily smiled at me when she caught my eye and I gave her a begging face to get everyone's attention.

"Guys this is Avalanna." I let out the breath I was holding and looked around to each guy.

"Well I'm Sam Uley." Sam said nodding towards me. I gave him a half smile and shifted my body in the chair.

"I'm Jared." The guy from earlier said. I nodded. "I'm Paul but I guess you already knew that."

"So about what you saw," Sam said. His voice switched from greeting mode to serious mode. "You can't tell anyone. By anyone I mean no one."

"I wasn't gonna tell anyone. I'm still having trouble believing this is real." The guys gave out a short laugh.

"I mean shapeshifters and vampires?" They each nodded.

"Its all true. I'm just glad we've gotten rid of most of the bloodsuckers." Jared said. "Most? How many are there?"

I felt eyes on my face and when I turned I connected eyes with Paul. He looked to be really focused on me and I felt awkward under his gaze.

He finally sighed and stormed out of the house. "Ignore him. Anyways there's many leeches. We got rid of the Cullens finally." I sighed.

My best friend was dating a vampire... maybe thats why he left.

"There were two that kept coming back. We killed one the other day that was chasing Bella." Sam said.

"You're the huge wolves Bells told Charlie about." They all sighed and nodded. "And the other one?"

"She keeps coming back and we don't know what she wants." The sound of the door opening causing us all to turn and look.

Paul entered first followed by Jake and Bella. "The red head is after Bella."

I quickly went over to Bella and pulled her into my arms. "Its gonna be ok Is." She nodded and tightened her grip on my waist.

"You better text us Ava." Jared said as me and Bella got ready to leave. I nodded as the boys all begged me to text them later.

I laughed and nodded. "Good. Text us when you get home." Paul said, hugging me. He kissed my hair softly before pulling away.

I felt everyones eyes on us so I cleared my throat and backed out of Paul's arms.

The past four hours that me and Bella stayed, the boys grew on me. They were like brothers I've always wanted and they were fun to hang with.

Jared was claimed my bestie for ever and Embry was my Emmy Bear. Paul flirted the whole time and I admit I flirted back a few times.

They told me they liked me better than Bella and that caused me to smack them all. Bells is my best friend and they were gonna be nice to her.

"Ok, I promise." They nodded and walked me out of the house. "Tell Emily I said thanks for lunch."

"Come on Ava!" Bella called from her truck. I stuck my tongue out at her before turning back to the boys. The three of them were whining.

"I'll be back." I hugged them one last time before hopping in Bells truck.

"Well that was fun."

"Dude did you imprint?" Jared asked as I watched Bella's truck drive away.

Jake walked over to us and gave me a questionable look. "No, but I sure wished I did."
