I was sitting on the couch watching football with Jasper when the front door opened.

Everyone turned when Edward walking in with Bella and another girl.

I watched her as she followed behind Bella. She was beautiful. Her skin was a caramel color and her hair was dyed a golden color.

Not many Africa American girls can pull off the blond hair, but it looked good on her.

She noticed us all staring at her and stared messing with her fingers. I couldn't help but find that adorable.

"Guys this is Avalanna." Edward said noticing the awkwardness in the air.

Avalanna looked up at the mention of her name and gave us a shy smile. Carlisle and Esme got up from the couch and walked over to the three.

"I'm Carlisle and this is my wife Esme." Avalanna nodded, shaking hands with Carlisle and hugging Esme. Me, Jasper, and Alice got up and walked over to them.

As I got closer I finally smelt her. She smelt... better than Bella and that's saying something. Avalanna's blood was almost irresistible. I had to keep a growl from coming out my mouth.

Edward looked over to me with wide eyes. 'What?' I thought towards him. He shook his head, and turned his attention back to everyone.

"These are our adopted kids Alice, Jasper, and Emmett." I nodded down at the girl, flashing her a smile. She blushed and I saw Edward try to hold a laugh in.

Alice pulled her into a hug and Avalanna quickly hugged her back. "It's nice to see you again. We're gonna be great friends."

Avalanna laughed and pulled away from the hug. "So what brings you girls here so early?" Carlisle asked, hugging Esme.

Edward sighed and moved over to the staircase. Avalanna followed him and sat down on the bottom step.

"Ask Bells, since she thought it was a great idea to wake me. Then make me jump out of a window!" Avalanna glared at Bella. I laughed at how cute she looked.

Bella sighed and looked back at Edward before turning to us. "You all know what I want." Bella paused and looked at everyone.

"I know I'm asking for a lot and I think the only fair thing to do is vote." I looked over to Avalanna and she looked confused.

"You don't know what you're doing." Edward said to Bella, "shut up."

I laughed making Edward glare at me. "Alice?" Bella asked. Alice skipped over to Bella and hugged her. "You already know I consider you a sister."

Bella smiled at her. "I vote yes. It would be nice to not want to kill you all the time." Jasper said, in the back of the room. Avalanna gasped and shifted her body on the stair.

There was a awkward silence so I decided to give my vote. "Well I vote hell yes." I picked Bella up and spun her around. I set her down and smiled at her. "We can pick a fight with the Volturi some other way."

Bella laughed, nodding. I stepped over towards the stairs and leaned close to where Avalanna sat. I had to hold my breath to keep myself under control.

"I already consider you apart of the family so yes." Esme said with a smile. Carlisle looked around and left Esme's side and came to Bella's.

"Why are you doing this to me?" Edward mumbled. We all sighed. "You know what this means."

Carlisle shook his head. "You've already choosen not to live without her. You've left me with no choice. I won't lose my son." Edward sighed and looked up the stairs.

"Um let me get this straight, you wanna be a vampire?" Avalanna asked Bella, standing up. Bella nodded.

"Can I vote?" Bella thought for a second before nodding her head. "I vote no. Let me explain though. I understand you love him Bella, but what about eveyone else in your life?"

Bella sighed and shook her head. "I have to choose what's best for me Avalanne."

"What about your dad? You'll want and need him in your life. What about me or even Jacob?" Ava walked over to Bella and pointed up to Edward.

"Me and Jake were there to get you back in one piece when he left. And now you're just gonna give up on us? I love you Bella but I don't wanna see you lose people who have been there for you through a lot."

The whole room was silent and all eyes were on Ava and Bella. They stared at each other, both with tears in their eyes. Ava finally looked away and to all of us.

"I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but this is my best friend and I have to try putting some sense in her head."

She looked at Bella one last time before walking out the front door. I couldn't stop my feet as they carried me after Avalanna.
