Niall's POV
" Liam, can we talk? " I ask quietly, shaking him from his nap by the pool.
" Mhmm, " he mumbles. I check to make sure Hailey was still swimming.
" Liam. I love her, and I think I want to spend forever with her, " I begin to stutter. " I-I wanna ma-marry her, " I stumble through the words. Liam hops off the patio chair and hugs me.
" Do it man, " he smiles sleepily.
" I'm gonna have to take some girl with me to find the perfect ring, " I think a loud. " Lexi, " I smile. " Lexi! Can you come here? " I shout.
" Just a second, " she tells getting out of the pool. When she walks up, Harry is looking her up and down. I chuckle a bit and lead her inside.
" Lexi? I really want to marry Hailey.. Do you mind coming with me to find her a perfect ring? " I begin blushing as I realize how much Hailey means to be.
" Of course! Let me go get dressed! " she runs off to the guest room. I walk back outside to the pool.
" Baby, " I say looking for Hailey. I feel a pair of cold arms wrap around me.
" Yeah? " she whispers into my ear.
" I'm heading to drop Lexi off and then get some groceries. Do you mind staying here with the boys to keep them under control? "
" Of course not, Hun. Be careful, " she says before I kiss her.
" I will princess, " I smile at her as I turn to walk away. " Ready? " I yell out for Lexi to come outside.
" Yup! " she says. I hear the door close and look up. She was wearing some shorts and a half shirt with toms. She look gorgeous truthfully. I opened the door to Hailey's car and cranked it up. Lexi hopped in and put in Up All Night and went to I Wish. She sang along. We arrived at the jeweler. As soon as I stepped in, I began to look at each and every ring. " This one is gorgeous, Niall, " Lexi smiled pointing at my favorite one.
" I agree. Do you think it'd be okay? " I questioned. The jeweler pulled it out of the showcase.
" Wow. Yes. Hailey will love it, " Lexi said staring at the ring.
" I'll take it, " I smiled.
" That'll be a hundred thousand, " the old lady smiled. I pulled out my wallet and handed her the money. She put it in the cash register and then put the ring in a box. " Good luck, " she said before we walked out. As soon as the door opened, camera's flashed.
" Dang it, " I mumbled.
" Who's this? " several reporters asked.
" A friend, " Lexi said smiling. I got in the car and drove Lexi to her apartment she had recently bought.
" Thanks for coming, " I smiled.
" You're welcome, " she smiled back. Before I knew it, she was kissing me.
" LEXI! " I yelled as I pulled away.
" Bye, " she smiled. What the heck just happened, I kept thinking to myself. I pulled down my mirror to see lipstick all over me.
" Shoot, " I muttered. I pulled my sleeve up to wipe away the smears, only to notice I smelt just like Lexi. I decided to just drive home and explain everything to Hailey. I opened the door and could hear crying. I slowly walked towards the sound.
" Hailey. Niall wouldn't do such a thing, " I heard Liam say.
" But, theres pictures of him and Lexi everywhere now, " she cried.
" Baby... " I began to cry as I walked in the kitchen and saw my lovely princess in Liam's arms crying. " It's not what you think, " I stumble over the words.
" YOU EVEN SMELL LIKE HER! " she screamed through tears. She ran to our room and I heard the door slam.
" Liam.. You believe me right mate? " He picked up a napkin and ran it over my lips, then showed me the lipstick.
" Niall, I want to. But I've never seen her so hurt. Man. I don't get why you even took Lexi. Now Hailey thinks she isn't enough. You're on your own, " he said, his voice full of sorrow as he walked away.
Hailey's POV
He cheated on me. Niall cheated on me. The worst part is that it's with my bestfriend. I can't believe this. I was never enough. It's done. I can't stay with him and be broken like this. I'm leaving him tonight. I walk to the closet and pack all my things. I then get online and buy a plane ticket for Little Rock, Arkansas. I'm going home. Alone.
-Later at dinner -
" Niall, " I speak softly.
" Yes princess? "
" Why? Why did you cheat on me? And why with her? She's my bestfriend! " I begin to breakdown. ' I have to end this, ' I think to myself.
" Hailey, baby, " Niall begins to talk.
" Don't start Niall, this is the end of us. I can't go through like this. You're my world, but you used that to your advantage, and now I'm torn in a million pieces. This is it. No more Nailey. I love you Niall, " I sigh as I take off the promise ring and hand it to him. I get my bags and take a taxi to a hotel where I'll stay the night. When I wake up, I'll take another taxi to the airport and wait for my plane
