The sea was peaceful, as it lapped against the ship. The Thousand Sunny was sailing under clear skies, a warm, gentle breeze filling her sails and tenderly guiding her to her next destination. Upon the deck, the crew was relaxing, reading or messing around. It was nice to see that the crew was finally having some time to themselves, with only the occasional cry of laughter from Luffy, Usopp and Chopper sounding out. Watching the crew with an intent gaze, head shaking from side to side fondly, as she watched, [Name] remained to herself atop the Crow's Nest. Nestling up there holing on to the flag pole and gazing out onto the wide, vast glistening ocean, [Name] couldn't feel any freer. From her spot, though, she could also keep an eye on the crew and look out for oncoming danger.

The crew meant a lot to her, but her brother mostly. Who might that be? You may ask. Monkey D. Luffy. The infamous Straw Hat was her brother, and she would do anything for him. Since the loss of her other brothers, she became somewhat protective of him, too. However, she knew her brother was a brash person, who lead with his heart and not his head, and even if she was protective of him, that alone wouldn't keep him safe.

That's where the rest of the crew came in. She had to trust them with him and pray that they could help her keep him alive – so far, they had done a wonderful job, and they had all become a true family. To say she felt close to the family was somewhat an understatement, and she was happy that her brother had been the one to supply them with this closeness. Of course, she could never replace some relationships she had gained in her life, but the Straw Hat Pirates were her family and she loved them all.

[Name] sighed, eyes casting down onto the deck, watching as Nami sunbathed and Brooke idly play his guitar by the main mast. From her position, she couldn't see her brother, but she could damn well hear him, as well as Chopper and Usopp. Fondly shaking her head, she supposed that the serenity of the day was going to cease, and instead of remaining out of the chaos, she moved down from her spot atop the nest and onto the deck.

"[NAAAAME]!!!" Luffy yelled, laughing soon after as he threw himself towards her. He wrapped his arms around her waist before lifting her up into a tight hug, [Name] giggling at his antics before he set her down - he continued, "you gotta see what we're doing!"

"Is it the chopstick in your nose thing again? Cause I could...go without ever seeing that again..." she chuckled, ruffling his hair a little as he batted her hands away.

"Ugh, you're no fun." He grumbled, turning away, leaving her with a fond smile on her features. She couldn't help but be a little more serious; of course, she had her moments, she was his sister after all. Fond stupidity was a family trait, she was sure.

Letting out a soft laugh, she watched as the boys quickly dispersed, getting back to whatever game they had been playing with each other. Beginning to wrap her arms around herself, [Name] kept her gaze watching the deck, gracing over the other members with caring look. Everyone could be spoken for, except for two people; Zoro and Sanji. [Name] supposed Zoro was getting in some extra training within the Crow's Nest, but Sanji? It wasn't even close to dinner time, and usually he was lingering around either Nami or Robin, swooning over them.

Don't get [Name] wrong, she understood the swooning – they were pretty, kind and sweet, and Nami certainly knew how to keep Sanji wrapped around her finger. She was in awe, really, for [Name] could never truly do that without letting slip that she felt something towards the cook.

Ugh. Feelings, they were far too complicated. Of course, the letting slip of true feelings would never happen, for she had made herself quite distant from Sanji – something she thought he noticed. He wasn't as overtly flirtatious with her, and instead he would keep his tender moments towards her quite private. This was something she couldn't deal with, but somewhat felt... special?
