"So, what do you guys wanna do for the rest of the day? We've been watching movies since noon." Jeremy asked, plopping himself down on the couch in their hotel room.
"Well," Elena, who was cuddled into Jack's chest, said, taking her phone out of her pocket and glancing at the time, "It's 6:00 and we leave at 10:00 tonight."
"That seems kind of late." Jack questioned. Elena just shrugged in response.
"This blows." Finn sighed, resting his chin on his hands.
"We have four hours left. Let's just make the most of it. Who knows when we'll see each other again?" Nick encouraged, trying hard to bring enthusiasm to his voice.
"Isn't there some sort of amusement park open right now? I heard it's like a really big deal." Wyatt suggested.
"There is no way I'm going to an amusement park." Sophia argued, while Jeremy, Chosen and Nick nodded in agreement.
"I'd go." Amelia said.
"Yeah. Me, too." Jaeden responded. Finn nodded as well.
Everybody looked to Elena and Jack, who were the only two that hadn't yet responded. The two quickly glanced at each other, shrugging.
"I guess we're in," Jack answered, "But are we really gonna spend our last day together separated?"
"It'll be fine. Plus, we'll meet back up at the airport. We're probably just gonna hang around the hotel all day anyway. Maybe go to the mall or something, I'm not sure." Sophia said.
The six kids, after looking up details for the amusement park, headed out the door. They were luckily within walking distance, so they didn't have to worry about ordering an uber.
"Why did I agree to this?" Elena said quietly as they all walked down the busy LA street. She was terrified of roller coasters, and honestly, she only agreed because she wanted to spend more time with Jack.
"What do you mean?" Jack questioned.
"Oh, nothing. I'm just kind of afraid of heights and everything roller coaster related." She said with a chuckle.
"Don't worry," Jack comforted, "I'll be with you the whole time."
They finally reached the amusement park, which was rather large. It had started to get dark out, so the park was lit up with bright lights from signs and rides.
The group of six approached the ticket stand, buying enough tickets for a few rides between the few of them. Just as Elena went to grab her wallet, Jack hit her arm, showing her a wad of money he had in his hand.
"I got it." Jack said with a smile.
"Jack, seriously. You don't always have to pay for me." The girl argued.
"As long as you're with me, you don't have to pay a dime."
Elena rolled her eyes, shoving her wallet back into her side purse. She didn't understand why Jack had to be such a gentleman all the time. It was like the icing on the cake, making him absolutely flawless.
Most people would find this a good thing, and it's not that Elena didn't. In fact, she loved that about him. What she hated was the fact that it made her want him even more, and even after the shared kiss between the two, she didn't think anything was going to happen between them. He was simply too good for her.
After getting their tickets, the group began going from rollercoaster to rollercoaster, having the time of their lives. They were still pretty upset that the rest of their friends didn't want to come with them, but they didn't let that get in the way of their last day together.
