Kairi's P.O.V

"Oh god I'm so sorry" she repeated to her young step daughter, trying to help her out as much as possible.

She knew Naminé had been getting abused by her own, somewhat-boyfriend for so long, and she wanted so badly for it all to stop. But there was nothing she could do, really, Naminé wasn't her daughter, and if she ever said anything to upset Roxas, he could dump her, and then she would never see Naminé again. She had been holding Naminé's head back, and trying her best to keep her awake for a while, just in case she has a concussion.

"It's alright, it's not your fault, and really, I'm alright." she heard Naminé say quietly. She knew Naminé wasn't ok, but that brave little girl would never let anyone see how much she was hurting. They talked for awhile, Naminé showed her some of her new drawings and told her more about these characters she knew so much about. She was glad Naminé had that new friend she had heard so much about over the past year, and was learning so much about these books and movies this friend was showing her. She was being so passionate about this. She was so talented, and she had always had fun looking at all the new creations she had made. But soon hours had passed, and she knew Roxas would come looking for her.

"Isn't she amazing Kairi?" Naminé had said to her with bright eyes.

"Why yes," she said smiling back at her, "she's really something special, just like you" she said getting up and kissing her forehead.

"Aw, you're leaving?" She said sadly.

"I'm sorry, hunny, I have to, I'll see you in the morning, have sweet dreams, love." She said, giving her one last hug.

She was just about to leave when she heard a voice call back out "Wait! Kairi!" Naminé said.

"Yes?" Kairi replied.

"I love you" Naminé said, her sweet little face looking up at her just broke Kairi's heart so much.

"I love you too Naimé, so so much" she said, and went to go swallow her pride and pretend to love the demon outside, for that little angel she was walking away from.
