South Central L.A follows the life of Aaliyah Richardson, Eric Wright, and their siblings growing up in the city of Los Angeles.
Aaliyah and Eric have grown up together. As time passed, Eric began to develop feelings for Aaliyah. Aaliyah has also de...
"Come on girl, you know you want to go." Aaliyah was convincing Janeé to go to a party that Eric's sister Lisa was throwing at the Skyline Penthouse.
"Man I don't know," Janeé said with a sad look on her face as she rested her chin in her hands. She was going through a tough time with a guy she liked and wasn't really in the mood to do anything.
"Girl I'm telling you, this is going to be the party of a lifetime, not to mention the last party of the summer before school starts."
"Yeah, but-" Aaliyah cut her off.
"No excuses, you're going! Forget about that idiot! You need to step out and have a good time. Plus, I'm sure your man will be there."
Janeé looked up at Aaliyah, "Liyah, if you say the B word, I will punch you in the face," she said, even though she didn't literally mean it.
Aaliyah bust out laughing as she looked in her closet for something to wear. Thinking about Janeé's situation, she then began to think about her old flame from her junior year in high school, Elgin Lumpkin, who was then a senior. He was her first love. He showed her many new things. But they go back further than just junior year. They met on Aaliyah's fourteenth birthday. She was so genuinely in love with him ... that is until she caught him cheating. That's when she decided to call it quits. That's another reason why she didn't push the issue with Eric. What if he turned out to be just as bad as Elgin, or worse? As for Elgin, Aaliyah runs into him occasionally, but she made a vow to never reunite with him. As Aaliyah grabbed some jewelry from her nightstand, she looked at a picture of her baby sister. Janeé was a honey brown color with coffee brown eyes, shoulder-length hair, and a smile that would light up a dark room. She looked over from the picture to her sister. Janeé was still resting her head on her hands, a tear slid from her eye. Aaliyah wanted to find Gavin, the guy her sister was involved with, and cuss him out for leading her on the way he did.
'Man what did she do to deserve this?' she thought to herself.
'If she'd only give Bryon a chance I know he'll treat her so much better.'
Aaliyah admired her sister's picture. She knew she and her three sisters were beautiful young women and they all deserved nothing but the best. Every woman in her family did.
Aaliyah shook off the events from the past and attempted to cheer her sister up, "we need to find you a man."
Janeé wiped her cheek, "I don't think I want one anymore after today."
"Look, let's leave all of that in the past. There are plenty of fish in the sea."
"Forget about me, what about you and Eric?"
"Why do you all think that I have a thing for Eric?"
"Because you do!"
"I don't know what you guys are talking about."
"Mmhm."

"Li Li, Lauren! What's up? Janeé, im glad you made it!" Eric's sister Lisa greeted with a smile, "listen, dont worry about Gavin, we gone handle that nigga for you. You enjoy yourself and have a good time, you hear?"
"Thanks, Lis, I really appreciate it," Janeé smiled at Lisa.
Aaliyah and Janeé arrived at the party, dressed almost alike.
