Christmas had finally arrived. It was Christmas evening and Aaliyah, her sisters and the rest of the ladies were helping LisaRaye with the Christmas dinner. There was a knock on the door. Lauren went to answer the door.
"Liyah, you got a special visitor here to see you," Lauren said.
Aaliyah walked out of the kitchen to see who it was.
"Hi Li Li, Merry Christmas!" Aaliyah smiled.
"Merry Christmas, to you too, sweetie!" she gave Lisa a big hug.
Aaliyah looked behind Lisa and saw Eric standing at the door with a smile.
"Oh yeah, I bought you a present over there, " Lisa joked.
Aaliyah playfully slapped Lisa on the shoulder and walked over to Eric.
"Eric, hi."
"Hey, lady, Merry Christmas."
"Same to you."
"I wanted to stop by to bring you this."
He pulled a wrapped up box out of his pocket.
"Eric, you didn't have to do this. "
"I know I didn't, I wanted to, though."
Aaliyah went and grabbed his present, "this is for you. "
Eric and Aaliyah both opened up their gifts. Aaliyah went ahead and bought the watch suggested by Lauren. Eric had gotten her a diamond necklace, earring and bracelet set.
"Omg, Eric I love it!"
"I'm glad you do. I'm diggin' this watch."
Aaliyah pulled Eric into a hug. She then looked into his deep brown eyes and pressed her lips against his. Regardless of what they've been through, she still loved Eric. Eric still loved her for sure and hated being apart from her.
"I love you Li Li," Eric said to her.
"I love you too, Eric. You wanna stay for dinner?"
"You already know there's no place I'd rather be. "
All of a sudden, there was another knock on the door.
Aaliyah opened the door, "Hey what's up. Hey Lauren there's a surprise at the door."
Lauren went over to the door, "AHHH, RASHAD HI!" she jumped on Rashad and hugged him.

"What's up, shawty?"he laughed as he hugged her back.
"I thought you were in Atlanta, what happened?" Lauren said as she invited him in.
"My grandma decided to surprise us and come out to L.A for the holidays."
"Omg this is the best Christmas ever! I got my family, friends and my boo here, this day can't get any better!"
After dinner was done, everyone prayed over the food and began to make their plates.
"Hey everyone, I have something I want to say," Nelly said.
The conversations died down. Nelly then turned to Ashanti.
"Ashanti, you and I have known each other for quite a long while now, and we've spent four beautiful years being together. Things haven't always been the best between us, but you never fully given up on me, you've stayed by my side through thick and thin and I truly love and appreciate you for everything. Basically, what I'm gettin' to is, I want us to spend the rest of our lives together."
Nelly then gets down on one knee and pulls out a ring. Ashanti covers her mouth and tears began to form.
"Ashanti Shaquoya Richardson, will you marry me?"
"Oh my gosh, yes, yes!"
The girls began to scream and the guys all clapped as Nelly took the ring out of the box and slid it on her finger. He got up and sweetly kissed his new fiancée.
"Ohhh, welcome to the family, Cornell,"LisaRaye hugged him with tears in her eyes. "I'm so proud of you two!"
"Yes, you're stuck with us forever and ever, future brother-in-law,"Lauren hugged Nelly.
"Awh I ain't got a problem with that, sis. There's no other family I'd rather be with."
"Congratulations, son," said Terrence as he hugged Nelly and patted him on the back, "you and my baby girl continue to take good care of each other, you hear?"
"Yes sir."
Everyone in the household offered their congrats to the newly engaged couple. After Aaliyah and Eric said their congrats, the two reunited on the couch. As Eric grabbed Aaliyah's hand, the two sat and smiled at Nelly and Ashanti. Although Eric was known to be a ladies' man, he would throw all of that away just for Aaliyah. Aaliyah made him feel different than any other girl had. He was so happy for her sister and future brother-in-law and hoped that he and Aaliyah could be like them one day.
Ashanti and Nelly are officially engaged and Aaliyah and Eric are mending their broken relationship! This chapter is bald headed (short) so I'ma edit and post chapter 16 where the gang brings in the New Year !!!
