Chapter 6
Charlotte's POV
That skate was horrible. Nothing was working out the way it should. Jumps weren't tight enough for full rotations and my spins were shaky! I grew so frustrated I stopped earlier than I normally would have.
I step into the steaming hot shower and let the water cascade down my face and body. I close my eyes, take a deep breath and then let it back out along with all of my problems.

I'm sitting on the window seat listening to an Ed Sheeran song when I hear the scratching of a key trying to find its hole. There is a click of the lock and the door busts open and in stumbles this absolutely beautiful brunette with piercing blue eyes talking on the phone.
"Yes, yes I made it here all right. Do you think we would be talking right now if I hadn't? No Mom I am not sassing you, I am only being logical! Look Mom I have to go. Yes, yes I will call you later! Say hi to Dad and Bradley for me." She looks at me at gives me the universal sign of when someone won't stop talking and rolls her eyes. "Okay, yes I love you too. Stop your blubbering and hang up the phone now! YES MOM I SAID I WOULD CALL YOU LATER! Okay bye Mom." She hangs up the phone and tosses it on the bed.
"Hello there, you must be Charlotte. I'm Janey, but you can call me JJ!" She held out her hand for me to shake which I immediately grabbed and shook. "Yeah, that's me. So we are going to be roommates this year?"
"Looks like, and while we are doing introductions why don't we set up the rules."
"Rules?" I ask her nervously hoping that they didn't stick me with some psycho control freak.
"Yeah, like number 1, we have to be friends and if we fight we always have to make up BEFORE we go to bed at night. I hate going to be upset." I let out the breath I hadn't even realized I was holding and then started laughing.
"Are you okay?" She looked me like I was a madman.
"Yeah I'm fine. I was just worried when you said rules you were gonna start talking about bedtimes and this side of the room is mine so don't touch anything." Still laughing. "What are the other rules?"
"Oh that's it. I'm not much of a rule person otherwise. I just don't want any problems between us with such a confined space and all."
"Well that sounds perfect to me. Do you want me to help you bring the rest of your stuff into the room?"
"That would be great! I only have a couple more bags outside." We head out the door and look in the hall and there are 10 various sizes of suitcases just sitting outside our door. "Or 10 bags. What's the difference 2... 10 same thing really!" She said chuckling to herself.
"No difference at all! I think I had just as many bags when I got here yesterday."
"Umm, could you like move these garbage bags out of the way? I need to get to my room and you are totes blocking my way," a voice behind me snapped. Totes, really? I turned around only to see an overly dressed red head glaring down at us. Her word choice has no surprise on me now.
Suppressing an eye roll I just reply, "Sure if you just want to wait a minute these will be out of your way." Your highness I wanted to add.
"Well it looks like I don't have a choice now does it?" She huffed out.
"No it doesn't. Unless you want to help us, but you might chip a nail or something trying to pick up a bag." Lacey snapped right back at her.
"Whatever" She turned up her nose and shimmied her way around the bags and down to the other end of the hall to what could only be her room. Surprise, surprise she got a single.
"Well I can see we will be having a great time with her this year." I rolled my eyes as I grabbed a suitcase and began hauling it into the room.
"What a bitch. Hopefully we don't have to see her all that much," Lacey grumbled.
"That was Jessie Turner. Her dad is some big shot talent agent in LA, so she comes with the LA princess attitude," some pretty brunette girl informed us as she brought in another one of JJ's bags. "Hi I'm Tessa or Tess, whichever. I live just across the hall." She gave us a little half wave.
"Hi I'm Charlotte and this is JJ." I look sideways and make sure it alright I introduced her as JJ. She gave me a wink in return.
"Well I saw your bags in the hall and I figured I would help you move them in before she comes back." She chuckled, "If it doesn't bother you though," she quickly added.
"No, not at all! The more the merrier!" JJ replied.
"Well once we finish bringing the bags in, why don't we all head over to the Main Square? There is a bunch of activities going on and later there is going to be a welcome rally!"
JJ and I gave each other a look and Tessa quickly jumped in, "I know a rally sounds really lame, but trust me, you are going to want to see this. It is completely different from any other rally you have ever been to before."
"Okay well that sounds fine to me."
"It's fine with me too. And you guys will have to meet my friend Matt and all of his friends. I'm sure we will run into them at some point today."
"Sounds like a plan to me!" Tessa chimed.
"Me too, but can we get some food before we go to the square? Airplane food is not as appetizing as some people make it out to be!" JJ moaned.
"Yeah let's grab some food. I am starving too! I feel like I could eat for daysssss right now!" I laughed.
We finished bringing in the bags and then Lacey linked her arms through mine and Tessa's and we were off on an adventure. And with that I can feel myself opening up to people. Something I haven't done in a long time.
