Chp 8

After reassuring a crying Yoona gripping onto Hyejin's fragile body, she began to ask questions.

"It was that boyfriend of yours wasn't it? I know it's him. He sounded like he felt bad and he was shocked and he ran after I came so I couldn't see his face." She said.

"아니. It's not him." Hyejin said. "I opened the door and it must've been some psycho I don't even know-"

"Hyejin. We talked about this. Don't lie."

She was 11.

"I'm not lying! You know how crazy fans get once they find out their idols are dating."

"That's true..." Yoona sighed.

A week.

Hyejin craved her friends to appear but no one showed, but what could she expect? She hadn't told anyone...

She had missed the MNET festival. Sparking worry in many people since her appearance was guaranteed, disappointing fans who even complained to her company/boss.

They released a statement without Hyejin's consent saying that she was just tired and had health issues, making her scoff.

A knock.

"Yoona? Aren't you at sch-"

Joonyoung.

"Get out!" Hyejin yelled at him. "You have the nerve-"

"미안해요." He began to cry.

Man, Hyejin was a sucker for people who broke down...

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He kept apologizing as tears fell. He looked like he had been crying before. Hyejin didn't know what to say or think.

"저는... I.. have a personality disorder." He said and Hyejin sighed. She still hated him. "And I stupidly thought that loving someone would ease-"

He stopped. "I didn't mean to hurt you."

She stayed silent.

"I understand if you hate me." He said. "I think it's better if I die." He said seriously and Hyejin's eyes widened. "아니! Suicide isn't the answer idiot!" She said to both their surprise. "Maybe... maybe I can help...?" Hyejin regretted saying those words but it was in her nature to-

"What do you mean?" He was surprised himself.

"I don't know." Hyejin said.

"You'll continue dating me?"

"..." She saw the look on his face and she winced while saying 'yes'. "진짜요?!" He said. "But can we do all the normal couple things? Go on dates, drink from the same milkshake..." he sighed, wiping his tears. He came and sat in the seat next to Hyejin. "I should tell you some things shouldn't I?"

"I've been alone from the start." He said. "My mom committed suicide after my dad kept on abusing her, then my dad began to be a drug addict and died on overdose. My older sister got pregnant at 16 and my aunt and uncle sent her away to the states. They don't care about me. They just wanted my parents' money."
