Chp 12

*Eight months later...*

Hyejin arrived at the awards show with only the manager and head staff knowing. She arrived while the other host was prepping to get ready on the stage while Hyejin made her shocking entrance on the stage in confident steps and attractive calm eyes. She gracefully walked, her dress flowing behind her and she had a neutral look on her face. She looked really different.

Glowing yet...

Everyone gasped and whispered before they clapped and screamed. Hyejin smiled a small smile for a quick moment and then went back to her neutral face. Taking in everyone's face, mostly them with wide eyes and discreet moving mouths, and sighing before bowing to the other host beside her who was surprised to see her. She was going to be hosting alongside others.

No one had anticipated her appearance.

Except the organizers of the whole thing of course.

After a minute they went live and Hyejin revealed her even silkier, and deeper voice that showed that she was calm and charming. Yet her voice still was so sweet...

She finished the intros and didn't stick around. She left during commercials, hoping not to run into anyone she knew.

She kind of looked like Cinderella...

Carrying her dress up delicately and watching her step on the ground in her black heels.

Taehyung watched her sneak out with wide eyes, still shocked at her appearance. He definitely missed her.

Hyejin had read all the text messages. Her friends.. family... Taehyung..

She was a bit surprised at the fact that Taehyung was an old friend...

Taehyung: you're back!!!

Taehyung: i really missed you... but why did you leave so early...?

Hyejin: i missed you too.

His heart fluttered.

Hyejin: I have a lot of things to take care of. I arrived back two hours ago... I barely had time to do anything but dress and leave for the awards.

Taehyung: 아 진짜?

Taehyung: I'm so glad you look much healthier

Hyejin: :)

Hyejin: thank you

Taehyung: also... did you read the older messages?

Hyejin: 어.

(Yeah)

Taehyung: all?

Hyejin: 어...

Hyejin: about us knowing each other... I'm really sorry I didn't recognize you...

Taehyung: 아니 아니.

(No no)

Taehyung: you did say you had a feeling that we knew each other...
