Taehyung felt lonely.

Not completely. He had his brothers for comfort but he couldn't consult to them. He didn't think they'd understand. 2017 was difficult enough for him...

"Taehyung are you okay? You've been spacing out more than usual."

"Ah sorry." Taehyung would simply answer. He was going to visit his mother tomorrow.

Taehyung and his mom greeted each other with warm hugs, and he did the same with his father. They chatted for a while about usual things.

They turned on the TV, and there came up news about Hyejin, some talk show talking about her. "Park Hyejin..." Taehyung sighed.

"Did you guys reunite?" His mom asked in curiosity.

"Yeah- wait what? 'Reunite'."

His mom and dad both let out sounds of disappoint. "진짜? 태형!"

(Seriously taehyung...)

"뭐!"

(What??)

"I can't believe you. How did you not recognize her?" His mom said. "Park Hyejin? You used to call her 혀-개." (Hye-Dog).

He choked on his drink and all the sudden memories came flooding in. He couldn't believe it. "Seriously...! How could I-"

"Yeah! How could you! I mean, she did move away when she was 9 or so but that still doesn't give you reason to forget an 9 year long friend."

Taehyung couldn't believe it.

So this is what she meant when she said he was familiar.

"She didn't recognize me either...!" Taehyung whined.

His mom and his dad looked at each other unanimously, knowingly, and then back at him. "She had an accident." His mom quietly said. "Our families were so close but then hell broke loose... her mom died and her dad was next. Her sisters fell sick. We didn't know until recently... when dispatch released it into public..." she sighed. "But I heard she's doing all right. Her sisters are healthy and happy, and so is she."

Taehyung began to tear up. "Mom... Hyejin.. she's gone right now."

"Gone? What do you mean gone?"

"You haven't heard?" Taehyung said. "It's still unclear... but she left where she can't be reached by herself. She was going through some-"

Taehyung realized it.

It was all a cry for help.

Taehyung began to shed a few tears. He quickly wiped his tears realizing it.

"She was abused." Taehyung said. "By her boyfriend."

His parents were shocked. "What?!"

"She was at the hospital because of him." He buried his head in his hands. "And I did nothing."

His dumbfounded mother comforted him, telling him it wasn't his fault.

"But that doesn't make sense. At all. Hyejin would've left him-"

"She must've been forced by her company." His mother said shaking her head, pain forming on her face. "That's..."

Hyejin, on the other hand, was healing.

Both physically and mentally.

She was on a quiet beachside, warm, bright sand. Beautiful blue water stretching out to who knows where. Trees not too far away.

And most importantly,

No one.

Of course, there was a society on the island, but she chose a quiet place away from them, creating and listening to music and relaxing.

Taehyung: I'm so sorry

Taehyung: I'm so so sorry Hyejin...

Taehyung: Mom and dad... they told me. About it.

Taehyung: but on a more important note...

Taehyung: Hyejin. Why didn't you leave him? I would've helped you. I felt so bad when I figured it out. Are you still hurt?

Taehyung: ah... I hate Joonyoung a lot for what he did. How could he do that to you? I'm sorry you couldn't feel like you could tell me...

Taehyung: 제발... 혀진... eat a lot and feel better. Come back brighter than ever. Take your time. I miss you though. I have so much to talk about... I...

Taehyung: 진형 thought it was tomato juice and asked me for some. It was on my shirt... I told him I ran out and he just started talking about he should give him, the eldest, a sip of everything I drink, and a bite of everything I eat... typical Jin.
