Ryleigh was surfing at the beach preparing for the surf competition to retain her title once again as the Surf Queen. She has been surfing and swimming since she was three years old. She had an older brother and younger twin sisters. Her parents were gone a lot so her older brother Ethan and her had to take care of the younger ones most of the time. As Ryleigh was sitting there she decide to call it quits for the day and paddles back to the shore. She picked her board up and walked to where her towel was. She unhooked her ankle strap that was hooked to her board and sat it down so it could dry a little bit. She started stripping of her wet suit and she got some cat calls and whistles but she payed no attention to that. She threw on some shorts and flip flops completely ignoring her shirt and picked up jet stuff to walk to the walk way that leads to the beach. On her way home she ran into one of her best friends, Emma. "Hey Em!" She yelled towards her as said blonde turns around. "Hey Ryles." They made idle chat before her absolute bestest friend since Pre-K called towards them.
"Hey, Ryleigh. Emma. Want a ride?" She yelled from a boat with another blonde Ryleigh vaguely recognized as Rikki Chadwick, a new girl who moved here not long ago. Of corse Emma needed to be the responsible one in that moment. "Are you licensed?!"
"Who cares?" Ryleigh said just as Rikki said, "Are you my mother?" The runners grinned at the blonde who smirked back. Ryleigh went on board with no hesitation as Emma pursed her lips before sighing and following after the brunette. "Want to go out to sea?"

"Isn't that dangerous in a boat this sized?" Emma worried out load as Ryleigh rolled her eyes. She loves her to death but even she can be a little too annoying for the Grey girl.
"Chill out." Came Rikki's reply. They ride out tos ea before the engine sputters and groans before shutting off from low fuel.
"Are we chilled out yet?" Emma had to be snarky.

"So were floating its not like were sinking." The Grey girl told her best friend sticking up for the new blonde. Rikki looked at her in mild surprise.

"Not yet." Emma turned around with a prissy look on her face.

"I think were out of fuel, feel like paddling to that island?" Rikki asked rhetorically.
"Mako Island? Forget it." Emma shook her head.

"No one goes there its surrounded my sharks and reefs and mangroves..." Came Cleo's terrified voice for the first time since the blondes started bickering.

"Well its all we've got..." Rikki attempted to hand the second paddle to Emma but she stubbornly and rudely ignored her, making the Grey girl scoff with an eye roll and gave Rikki an annoyed look as she took the paddle.
"How are we ever going to get back home?"
"Good question Cleo, ask your friend."

"Don't put this on me." Snipped Rikki.
"Would it kill you to lay off her. Stop being such a bitch. This could've happened to anyone." Ryleigh once again stood up for the Rude Blonde who she is beginning to become attached to.
"Oh it was someone else's fault, someone else took this thing miles off shore. You three are lucky I've got this." She said walking toward the boat and blatantly ignoring Ryleigh.

"Emma's always really prepared." Cleo explained to Rikki, who Ryleigh could tell care less about.

"Oh I'm so happy for her!" Rikki faked enthusiasm. Emma heard and sent her the dirtiest look which Ryleigh replied with one of her own, as she strips in front of Rikki.
"I'm not getting any signal we should get to higher ground." Emma suggested.
"Do you have any idea where your going?" Rikki questioned as they came to a stop. Ryleigh found a rock to sit on and Rikki came and joined her, leaning her head on the Grey girls shoulder, both highly annoyed with this conversation.
"Just up I'm still not getting a signal."
"Well that's helpful. A cellphone on a deserted island. Rikki, should we go build some cellphone towers?" Came Ryleigh's sarcastic answer. "Sure, let's get right on that."
"This isn't a Time for jokes."
"Well not if you're around." Ryleigh mumbled under her breath, Rikki heard and gave a breathy chuckle.
"Maybe we won't get a signal what then what if we can't call anyone what if nobody finds us, what then?" Cleo steered the conversation back to the original matter.
"We'll have to draw straws and decide which one of us the others will eat." Ryleigh faked eating Cleo as she stood up who gently pushed her away as Rikki grinned, happy at least someone has a sense of humor.
"That's not funny." Emma glared at the two.
