Ryleigh was sleeping soundly in her bed, and the door started creaking open. Someone popped there head in before slowly edging towards the sleeping girl.

They grabbed the pillow next to her before raising high in the air. Just as they went to swing it down, the girl started talking. "You even think about hitting me with that, we're gonna be fighting."

The person put the pillow back down in defeat. "How did you know it was me? I was sneaky and everything."

"Rikki, I've known you for almost a year. That and you're not very quiet." Ryleigh said snuggling back down into her bed.

"Nope." Rikki told her before ripping the covers back, making them fall on the floor.

"Hey! Give it back blanket stealer!" Ryleigh sat up, now cold from the heat disappearing with the blankets.  Her shorts and tank top she had on, weren't very warming and now she was glaring at the 'blanket stealer'.

"Nope. Get up we're going swimming."

Ryleigh raised an eyebrow at her. "Why can't I just stay here?" She whined. Normally she'd be all for it but she was tired. Mariah hadn't been able to sleep last night and she had came into Ryleigh's room and woke her up and they teenager had tried everything to get her to sleep. In the end Mariah hadn't fell asleep until early this morning and Ryleigh hadn't had enough z's.

"No you cannot. Get dressed. If you're not down in ten minutes, I'm coming back up." Rikki held two fingers in front of her eyes and pointed between them from Ryleigh to her.

Once Rikki disappeared, Ryleigh groaned and flopped back on the bed. "One day of sleep. Is that so much to ask?" She groaned aloud. With a sigh she reluctantly stood up. She walked to her closet and picked out an outfit she barely paid attention to when she got dressed, before brushing her teeth, doing quick makeup, and letting her hair stay in its curls.

She walked downstairs grumpily, and when she entered her kitchen, Rikki had a pizza slice in her mouth with orange juice in front of her as she observed her house.

She turned when she heard footsteps to see Ryleigh staring at her. "What? I didn't eat before I came here."

Ryleigh just shook her head. She walked to the door with Rikki trailing behind and the two grabbed their bags before walking out the back door. They took their shoes off and walked down the beach until they got to Lewis's super secret fishing spot.

They threw their backspaces in the sand along with their phones and shoes, before running towards the gorgeous blue ocean.

It didn't take long at all for them to transform. They grinned at each other, before powerfully flick of their tail they were jetted off in the deep blue sea.

They just swam around for a few hours, racing, playing with dolphins, and scaring schools of fish.

When they thought it was long enough to be in the water, they went to shore and hauled theirselves up. Once they were dry, they grabbed their stuff and headed towards their personal hell.

"But seriously. I was riding a whale!" Rikki was saying.

Ryleigh snorted. "Alright. So. This dream of yours consisted of you riding a whale, human, then water shot up and boom, you're a mermaid again."

Rikki sent her an exasperated look. "That's what I'm saying!" She then dusted the donut crumbs off her hands, from the breakfast they had had graciously brought form Emma.

Lewis appeared behind Rikki just then with a huge book that looked very old. "I have found the best thing ever! It is going to rewrite mermaid history as you know it." He exclaimed, looking like an excited but serious nerd who didn't have enough friends.
