It is five am and I'm already up. whatismylife? Today I have to work all day since it's winter break and we're off of school. I know , I know, why didn't I also take time off like all the others and rest? Well, it's because I need the money. Like I said, my parents basically told me to never go back. And that's what I'm going to do. I need money to pay rent and bills without taking into account other necessary expenses. Plus, I'm too proud to go back home. Not that they would accept me anyway.

It's now ten o'clock and the shop closes at eleven so I have an hour to go. I am fatigued and incredibly tired from today's work and it doesn't help that I close up. So now that i think about it i can't even leave at eleven. I'll probably end up leaving around twelve thirty or something. I can't even bother to think anymore. While I was debating on leaving late while I clean or waking up extra early to clean and open a voice interrupted my thoughts.
"Excuse me, I'v been standing here for about an hour and you haven't gotten my order."
I turn around only to face the most handsome man I have ever seen. And believe me i have seen quite a few guys. Not that I dated them or anything but you know a girl can look. Plus the closest I've been to a man was in third grade when my friend dared me to touch Brody, a boy in our class, because she wanted to see if I was brave enough to touch a boy, which back then all had cuties. He had moss green eyes, light brown hair, and his lips, his lips where the softest red-pink you have ever seen. From what I could see, over the counter of course, he was wearing a white v-neck hugging his body just tight enough for you to see his six pack. Which I can tell isn't bad at all. I got pulled out of my thought when someone cleared his throat in front of me.
"Any day now. I don't have all day to wait for you take my order."
"Ughh, one of those people. " i muttered under my breath to keep calm. "What would you like to order?" I asked.Putting on the best fake smile I own.
"About time." Really, he has to be rude. Why couldn't he have a nice personality to match up with that pretty face of his. Oh no, worse, i said he had a pretty face. Kill me now. "I would like a simple coffee two creams two sugars."
"That will be right up." I said turning around getting ready to make him his coffee.
When I was finally done, not that it took long, I took it to where he was sitting. He was sitting there reading something intently on his computer. Too busy to notice me even approach the table so i just left it on the side. Since no more costumers had arrived I decided to put up the closed sign and get a head start on cleaning up while he finished his coffee. Thank god he was the last person or I would still be making drinks instead of getting ready to leave. I headed towards the back to start clearing things up.

I finished putting the dishes in order and looked down to my watch only to see it was already one o'clock. I guess time hadn't elapsed as slow as i thought. And that's when i remembered, he was still here. That handsome thing you call a man was still here. I'm not going to lie half of me wished that he had noticed the time and left but the other wished he was still sitting there maybe with an apology for his rudeness. I only had one option left, go back to the front and check.
As I neared the counter I saw him standing straight and tall waiting for someone but who? I guess he felt my presence because he turned around to look at me with a stern look on his face.
"Where where you!" he spat out looking more irritated every second.
"Whoa there buddy.'' I put my hands up in defense "You have no right to yell at me!" I started, my voice escalating as I finished my sentence.
He took a step forward to get as close as possible to the victim, me, of his anger. Thankfully the counter was between us or i don't know what would have happened. " Hell I do!" All i did was stand there confused. "So, you're going to pretend you don't know what i'm talking about?"
"No?" was all that came out of my mouth because he was intimidating as heck and made my mind all mushy and unable to think straight.
"Why are you mad?"
"You weren't anywhere to be seen! I have places to go things to do!"
"And?"
"I needed to leave!"
"Why didn't you leave? Dood, the door's right there in case you didn't see it." I said a smug smile tugging at my lips
"The. Door. Is. Locked"
"Ohhh" I said understanding where he was coming from, but I wasn't going to let him win. " You could have told me to open the door." I internally smile at my clever remark.
Calming down he lowered his tone but it still held sternness in it. " I ....I.. I don't know your name." he stated in defeat lowering his gaze.
Was it really that easy? Dang, I guess so. One point Amelia and he has zero. That reminds me I don't know his name. But being me I can't let him off that easily so I'll just keep it up a little bit. "You could have asked for my name."
"Ok, I get it. I was wrong in yelling. Can you just open the damn door so I can leave?"
"Pfftt , really? No 'sorry forgive', 'my poor self' ,'I didn't know what I was doing?" I said dramatically flailing my arms all over the air. he smiled for the first time in our encounter at my over the top enactment but quickly replaced it with a poker face hiding his emotion.
"Oh and that reminds me, I didn't get your name either." I say walking towards the door getting ready to open it.
"Luke." he then turns around to start walking towards his car.
