----Prologue----

The streets was filled with cracks and the houses were torn apart. Not a person was seen in the area; they had probably all evacuated already when they had seen what had occurred. The town was once a busy place, with many people coming and going every second. Now, the place was eerily quiet with nothing but the crackling of power lines breaking the odd silence. It almost seemed as if the place had been hit by an earthquake, after all, the place seemed that way to the TV reporters who claimed a massive earthquake was the cause of this devastation. But then again, they didn't see the ashes.

If a person looked deeper into the destruction, they would notice that the ground was very dirty, not of dirt but of ashes. Ashes that had been swept up by the gusts of wind and spread far and beyond. Otherwise, they could have seen the mountains of ashes, all of which were made up from incinerated homes and buildings, as well as disintegrated remains of the people who had lived inside those buildings.

Even the cracks in the street weren't really cracks, at least not from an earthquake. No, these cracks contained scorch marks that identified the root cause of the problem. Now, one could  clearly see that it wasn't an earthquake, but a fire. A fire so strong that it was simply an blazing inferno that scorched the grass and made cracks into the stone cobbles of the street. No, there were no survivors.

That is except one. A young teenager had no burns, but was mostly naked aside from a pair of boxers and sport-wear shorts. His skin wasn't scarred; in fact it was actually untouched and fairly pair. His crisp, black-colored hair had soot mixed in from the surrounding area, but was untouched in terms of damage. He lay groaning on the street, unsure of why he was so exhausted. His ruby-red eyes had glowed ominously against the dark cloak of night, but soon they faded into his normal dark-black colored eyes. With a final groan, he lay down motionless but still breathing, drifting off into a deep sleep.

It was quite odd for someone to sleep a midst the devastation of the surrounding landscape. But some how, peace had descended over the remains of Crashton, a once lively town of about 3,000 people, had suddenly dwindled down to 1.

But the sleeping teenager wasn't even part of the town to begin with...
