Laura's POV:

"What a selfish asshole Carmilla is, like who the hell raised her to be that way. Someone tries to do something nice for her, and in the moment she appreciates it, and the next thing you know she's being a total bitch again. I just don't get her problem," I rant to Perry over the phone. "She's someone you just have to kind of warm up to dear. She's one of those people where you either really like her, or you hate her." "I wouldn't go as far to say that I hate her," I exhale, "I really just don't get why she has such a problem with people who treat her nice, or do nice things for her?" "She's a person who just keeps to themselves, and it takes her a while to fully let people beyond her wall. She's just super closed off," Perry explains. "Definitely couldn't tell Perry," I reply sarcastically. "Laura, why does it matter so much to you if she likes you or doesn't like you?" My brain stops working at the sound of that question, and suddenly I couldn't think of an exact answer to give to Perry. "I don't know Per, just I have to go, so yeah. I will see you in class tomorrow? Yeah? Alright byee." I quickly hang up, without explanation and start to think about Perry's question even more.

Carmilla's POV:

I probably shouldn't of snapped at her earlier, she didn't exactly do anything wrong. It's just this girl has found a way to get underneath my skin, and honestly I don't know exactly how I feel about it. She seems cool, but I just don't think I can trust her. I roll my eyes at my thought of the tightly-wound up girl, until my thoughts are interrupted by Perry calling me, "What?!" I snap into the phone. "Geez, hello to you too Carmilla.""Sorry Per, just have my head wrapped around a few things right now. Do you need something?" "No, I just wanted to say that Laura thinks you hate her, and I think you should be a little nicer to the girl." "One thing Per, I don't hate her. Two, why in the hell do you think that," I grit my teeth in anger. Nice? Not in my vocabulary. I hear Perry take a breath,"You need to be nicer to her because she's new, and she doesn't have alot of friends, and when you were sick she did your work for you because she felt bad that you were sick, and im just tired of the bickering between you two because it's just you two constantly going at it in class instead of getting actual work done, and I just can't do it. "I didn't ask her to help me Perry. She shouldn't of done that, because now she thinks we are bestie besties, and in reality we aren't." I say, then hang up. I quickly walk to my bookcase, I am suddenly in need of a book to read. I find a book, and then plop down onto my bed to start reading it. I am about fifteen pages into the book when I hear three knocks at my door. I grunt, and throw my book to the end of my bed, and stomp to the door. "Just when I thought I could relax, someone has to interrupt," I mumble to myself while opening the door. A young lady about mid twenties asked, "Hi, is the apartment of Carmilla Karnstein?" "Yeah, what's it to you?" "Hi, I am the owner of the apartments that are in this area, and I am sorry to bring such bad news, but you are being evicted from your apartment because of failing to pay rent." "What the hell? I paid last month!" I yell. "Well," she looks through papers,"Indeed, yes you paid last month. You failed to pay for a good seven months. You owe the complex a good $2,000. Until you can pay us the money you owe, you will not be aloud back on this property. You have until the end of the week to have moved out. Have a good day." The lady then walks down the stairs, and leaves me standing there with my jaw dropped. I just got kicked out of my apartment, and I have nowhere to live. I pull out my cell phone and check the time,"Shit, I am going to be late for labs." I quickly get in my car, and drive to the building where my class is in. Thank god there were no police officers, I am pretty sure that I would be arrested if they saw how fast I was going. I speed walk into the lab room to find just Laura looking at the lab sheet. "You're late, again," she says still looking at the worksheet, not even bothering to look up. "Yeah, I guess I am," I plop down in the chair next to her,"Where's Perry and Laf?" "Oh, they have an elective that they do every other week. So we are swapping off each week, so that they are able to get that elective in. It's just you and I," she says, still not looking away from the worksheet. "Lovely," I sarcastically say. "So what's the excuse this time for being late Carmilla," she says finally looking away from the paper to look at me with a raised eyebrow,"Are you sick? Hungover? Missed your alarm? What's today's excuse?" I clench my jaw,"I am being evicted. I was in a conversation with the apartment complex owner." She huffs,"Bullshit." "It's not an excuse. Do you need to see the paper?!" I start to get angry, as of today hasn't already been shitty enough, I have an annoying girl not believing anything that I am saying. "How do I know that you didn't write it yourself huh," she snaps. "Because you can't write eviction notes you asshole, the apartment complex has to bring them to you," I take out the paper and slightly slam it down on the desk. I start to go put a lab coat, and gloves on to start preparing for the lab. "Oh my god, Carmilla you're being evicted from your apartment," Laura whispers. "Yeah, see not an excuse," I snap.
