My mouth watered as the smell of breakfast wafted under my nose. Waking up, I realized we all fell asleep on the couch. Stretching out, I looked around and saw that Jackie was the only one who could be up cooking. Getting up, I went to the hallway bathroom and brushed my teeth. Walking into the kitchen, I sawJackie humming to herself quietly while stirring a big pot of grits.

"Good morning." I mumbled leaning against the door frame. My ass was sore from Ellis' assault and put me in a bit of a grumpy mood. Looking over her shoulder, she smiled at me and sing-songed good morning back.

"I figure there's no harm in making breakfast, so we don't have to get ready and go out to eat. You know, wasting money that we could use elsewhere. Plus, I think Kristy might still be hungover so there's no risking it." She said turning the dial down. Out the stove she pulled the buttered toast.

"Yeah, I guess so. Not a bad idea." I said as I walked over to the fridge and pulled out some orange juice. "Need some help?" I asked after pouring me a glass. She was making 5 girls breakfast without the slightest complaint.

"No thank you. I'm almost done." She said pulling the bacon from the oven.

"Mm mh m! I smell breakfast." Kristy said smiling as she walked into the kitchen. "Good morning you two." She said before delivering a hard smack to my ass. "How's that rear end of yours." She said laughing. Guess she isn't as hungover as we thought.

"Fuck you Kristy." I mumbled playfully as I rubbed the sting from my butt. Oh the soreness.

"Don't be mean Kristy." Jackie giggled sitting the bacon on some napkins. Reaching for one piece, Kristy nearly got her hand bitten off. "Girl if you don't go wash them thangs and wake up your sista and Mel while you are at it." Jackie hissed swatting Kristy away like a fly.

"Okay damn! And I'm the mean one." She grumbled walking out the kitchen. Laughing to myself, I walked over to the dining room and sat in one of the seats. The sun shone brightly through the windows. Turning off the stove, Jackie fixed us a plate.

"Since you are up, it's first come first served." She said sitting next to me.

"Thanks Jackie, you're the best." I said humming as the smell of food that was sat on the table. Saying a quick grace, I dug into my food. Everyone slowly trailed in making their plates and waking up.

"What's up, what's up!" Mel said as she sat next to me, all perky as usual.

"Hey." I said biting into my toast.

"Good morning." Kelly said sitting across from us with her sister.

"Say, why do y'all got this big ole table and it's just you and your brother." Kristy asked munching down on her bacon.

"Don't know. I guess he just wanted a big table. God forbid if my parents come and visit." I said rolling my eyes before drinking some juice. Laughing we all fell into a silence. Suddenly my phone rang from the other room.

"Want me to get it?" Melody said finishing up the last of her eggs and grits.

"Nah I'll get it later." I said as the phone stopped ringing. I don't think I should be receive any important calls at this time. The ringing started up again causing the fork to stop midway sliding out my mouth. My eyes glanced up as the rest of the table was eyeing me. Still their movements never ceased.

"You might want to answer that. It might be Mr. Teacher man." Kristy said wiggling her eyebrows in delight. Rolling my eyes, the last person I want to talk to was Ellis.

"I don't wanna talk." I said staying put. I am barley sitting nicely on my own ass.

"Why? Think he won't come over this morning and get you again." Kelly said giggling with her sister. Fire engulfed my face as I tried to hide my embarrassment.
