okay so today it came out that jonathan gonzalez (a men's soccer player who was born in the u.s. but plays in the mexican league) is switiching his allegiance from the u.s. to mexico. i mean i can't blame him because they literally didn't call him up for the friendly against portugal, and no one from the mens national team let him know why he wasn't chosen.
so now, the u.s. had no head coach, no u.s. soccer president, and doesn't really have a plan on what their goals are now that they aren't in the world cup. it just sucks a lot because gonzalez is a promising young player and we could've used him.
also, poor pulisic. he just wants a strong team around him and from what it seems, we're pretty much doing a complete rebuild, but no one knows what that entails except that we're building it around our 'wonderboy' pulisic. don't get me wrong, i love pulisic so, so, much, but it's not fair for soccer fans to put so much pressure on him at the young age of nineteen. it's just not.
^^^if you don't understand how perfect he is, read his players tribune article. he's only nineteen, but the article seems like it was written by someone way older. he's a national treasure.
anyways, i hope in this new year the u.s. mens national team gets their act together because omg i can't handle anymore stress from this damn management
