Chapter 6: Almost caught

Kehlani's POV:

Even though it was hard for me to sleep that night I did. Shane was right it did help knowing that someone was there. I was just surprised I didn't get up because I usually do. Must have been to scared still.

I rolled over in the bed and Shane gave me a smile. I smiled back. I opened my fully and I realized how I kew him! It was Kendall's Cousin! The twins! Holy crap I felt like an idiot they must have known all this time. I mean I had a streak for a week with both of them. Then it just came out.

K-"Omg your Kendall's cousins"

S- "Wait how do you know that?"

K-"She gave me yours and Maxes snaps we had like a 7 day streak"

S-"Ummm are you sure?"

K-"Yes my username is khel2"

S-"Your right! You are the really pretty girl that added me"

K-"Oh you think I'm pretty don't you have a girlfriend. Actually never mind that I have to go the last thing I wold wanna do is put my best friends family in danger"

S-"You can't go those people could still be looking for you"

Then Max walked in he must have over heard part of our conversation because he jumped right into it.

M-"Yea Kehlani you cant go Shane is right.

K-" Guys I have to you can be in real danger right now.

Just then we herd a car pull up the the house. We all looked out the window. It was the people from the hospital. I sat back on the bed and started freaking out again.

M-" I'm going to go and get the door Shane go and take her into moms closet and hide.

Max's POV:

I walked down the stairs to go open the door. I walked slowly and was yelling that I wold be right there to give Shane and Kehlani more time to hide. I finally got to the door and I opened it.

I opened the door to a man he was about in his 40s. He told me his daughter was riding her bike in the woods last night and she left it there and he couldn't find her. He said she might have gone to someone's house near by for some help and he asked if he could look in our house. I told him he could have a look around but no girl came her last night It was just me and my brother home.

Kehlani's POV:

As Max told us what to do we where about to go into his moms room like he said but just as I was about to get up my legs stopped working. I couldn't move them then I remembered a surgery they did one me last week. They put something inside of my leg. That's the only reason I could think that this wold be happening. I started freaking out.

Then Shane picked me up like a baby. He ran me down the hall into his mothers room. He opened a white wood door to a closet. Then he sat me on his lap and we hid behind all the clothes in the closet. Like we where deep in the closet buried with clothes.

The light turned on in the bedroom. I started crying as quietly as I could. Then the closet door opened and Shane put his hand over my mouth and rested his chin on my head while hugging me tightly.

They guy walked out and I was still so scared. I kew I couldn't go back there. I didn't wanna be a experiment for them anymore. So I must have sat in the closet for 20 minuets while this guy was checking the house.

Me and Shane herd the car pull away. He took his hand off my mouth and I turned my head towards him. He wiped all the tires off my face. He told me I was going to be ok and that I was definitely staying another night with them.
