A New Beginning

Returning to The Peach Tree Woods, morning had just broken, and there to meet her was Zhe Yan, Bai Empress, Bai Zhi and Bai  Yi who had gathered to not only support her through the next few hours and then months, but to discuss with her the finer details of her battle with Mo Yuan.

"So far we have received acceptance missives from every Realm Leader, but also also the Realms elite who were delighted to have received an invitation. "Her mother said smiling at her, but the sudden frown had Bai Qian looking at her with one of her own.

"Mother?" she asked unsure of why she would be frowning at the good news, considering the short notice they had given.

"Are you sure this is what you want?" she asked softly as she took her in daughters look of determination.  "You will not be fully healed, even after 2 months, childbirth can take months to heal and for some women, even longer." she said gently but firmly.

Nodding that she was fully prepared for what lay ahead, they then moved onto the baby itself, which was in the hut waiting for her, having already been collected by Bai Zhen the day before.

You will stay at our Mortal Realm home for the final 2 months Xiao Wu."Her father said, having already prepared their home for their arrival and with her mother by her side and their clans most trusted midwife along with Zhe Yan, she would be well taken care of.

With that sorted, Zhe Yan gave her a soft smile of his own.  "Are you ready?" he asked before standing to move towards her.

Taking a deep breath, she exhaled slowly. Then with another nod of her head, she raised her hand to take his outstretched one. With a final look back at her family, she allowed him to lead her to the hut for the reverse procedure.

The procedure itself was a little more trickier than the initial one as the child had grown considerably as well as being brought to full development by Bai Qians own energy.  And for that reason, he could not remove the child from the Pearl directly or Bai Qians energy which was feeding, nurturing and protecting the child would be compromised and in turn it would affect the childs own energy system as well as her soul.

Putting Bai Qian into a coma, he immediately opened her up.  Her womb had been left in a state of suspension in order for the child to be returned, and this was where it became tricky.  Working alone and with a thick barrier in place to prevent her mother from entering which he did not need, he lowered the Pearl through the wall of energy and directly into her womb.  Then very carefully he fully closed it before removing his own wall of energy that surrounded it before closing her completely.

With the Pearl now fully encased inside her womb, and her stomach now closed and sealed, Zhe Yan began the second stage of the procedure.  Taking several deep breaths, he very gently brought her out of the coma.

Allowing her all the time she needed to awaken fully, which he needed her to be, Zhe Yan went though in his mind the next stage, of which there would be two parts.  Once he felt he was ready, he turned to face her.

Staring up at him smiling, he couldn't help but notice the fear in her eyes as he smiled back down at her.   Helping her to sit up, he gave her a cup with a very strong pain relief which would help take the pain he knew she would be feeling from the first stage of the procedure, before forcing her to lie back down so it could work it's way into her system.

"The pain relief will help ease the pain enough to take the brunt of it Xiao Wo, but you will need to feel most of it in order to complete the next stage." he warned her gently.  "When we are done, I will bring your mother in." he said softly.

Nodding that she understood having already been informed of what the procedure would entail, she lay her head down and waited.  Keeping quiet so Zhe Yan would have no distractions, she couldn't help but tear at the thought that soon she would be holding her child, and it was that thought that kept her mind free of the fear that was only a heartbeat away.
