The competition took place right away, since Demeter used her magic the apples grow faster. As Elizabeth was working, she noticed Demeter laying in the shades. {She's going to lose. What a loser, Elizabeth thought, smiling to herself.}

Right then, her younger brother, Todd, came walking up to Demeter. He was holding out a basket of apples and from what Elizabeth could make out, Demeter brought one from him. {Ha. Now she's really going to lose. Ha.}

"HI ELLI!" Todd shouted, running to her. He looked at her apple. "Nice apple. Can I see it?"

"I don't know, can you?" But before Elizabeth could push him away, Todd grabbed the apple and threw it at her faster than you could say, 'Todd is a loser who throws apples like a maniac.'

"HAHAHAHA!" He laughed, then took off running.

"Oh no!" Elizabeth picked up her now bruised apple.

"Great."

"Time's up!" Demeter smiled. "Your apple...looks retarded." She pointed at the bruise. "Hmm. Wonder how that happened."

"You set this up! I bet you made my brother do that, you and your evil abracadabra!"

"Why would I cheat? I'm clearly better than you. See? Look at my apple, and then look at yours. That's all there is to it. So, since you obviously lose, you get punished." She snapped twice and a garden appeared around them. It seemed to go on forever, and was surrounded by a brick wall that towered above them.

"Where are we?"
