Slowly things got better at school, with Mrs Whitemore finally out of the picture. Perrie now only had to get her father out of the picture, and then things would go back to the happy, cliché way they were before.
Not.
Perrie still had the occasional greeting with Kate, but not much else happened than a few nasty words exchanged between the two. Of course, these greetings only happened when Zayn or Jesy weren't around.
It wasn't anything Perrie couldn't handle, it was just the fact that it kept on happening. She thought of telling Zayn, or even Jesy, but that would cause more unnecessary drama in everyones lives. Perrie still had the problem with her father, who seemed to have not given up chasing her around the neighbourhood.
"I'm not giving up until you come with me." He said.
"Then you'll be waiting forever."
It's not like Perrie wanted him to stay, but if Alexander keeps coming back after three months, Zayn was going to get a restraining order on him.
It's been two months and one week.
Three more weeks, and Zayn couldn't wait to finally get a restraining order on that annoying little shit that kept stalking and terrorising Perrie, and even him too.
Zayn was sick of it, having to always watch his back as he walked down the street with Perrie. He always has to double check that the doors are locked before he goes to bed because he's scared that Alexander would come in during the night and attack him.
Yeah, Zayn couldn't wait for the three months to be up.
He now has to be careful of what he says around the school to his friends, as other kids have been acting suspicious, and Zayn couldn't have gotten any more angrier at the man intruding on all of their lives.
"Zayn.. Zayn?" Perrie clicked her fingers in front of his face and he immediately snapped out of his thoughts, scanning the cafeteria and noticing a group of guys watching them. He glared, and they all turned around and went on with their lunches.
"Sorry, you were saying?" Zayn asked, feeling guilty that he wasn't listening to Perrie.
"I was just thinking, do you like my hippie style better? Or my new 'updated and modern' look?" Perrie asked, gesturing to her outfit which was a mix of both.
"Um, I don't really mind. Is that all you wanted to talk about?"
Perrie shook her head. "No, no. I was thinking about that restraining order-"
"I'm not changing my mind about that, love. He's intruding on all of our lives and it's getting on my nerves." Zayn said, picking at his lunch, disinterested.
"I know. I know.." Perrie bit her lip and twirled her fork around her pasta that Zayn bought for her.
"Are you seriously alright?" Zayn asked, looking up from his lunch.
"Yeah, just.." Perrie sighed. "Kate's been bugging me again."
Zayn frowned. "Again?"
"Yeah. It's just bickering, but it's kind of getting on my nerves." Perrie shrugged and met Zayn's gaze. Zayn was quiet for a good five minutes, and that made Perrie worried. "Zayn?"
"Yeah? Oh, sorry."
"Are you alright?" Perrie reached over and rested her hand over Zayn's, which was laying flat on the table.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." He replied, in all honesty. Perrie looked at him suspiciously but didn't press the matter.
In truth, Zayn was thinking about his real parents, and the way they left this world. It was so unfair, and Zayn could never forget this day all those years ago.
