The Golden Fairy (Victorique x Kujo ♥)

Chapter 4

I went back to the library to see Victorique. I was running up the incredibly long stairs just to make it to the top. When I arrived, I saw Victorique sitting down the floor and she was reading a book. The sun shone at her long beautiful hair and it shimmered. It was so dazzling and sparkling. I stared at it unconsciously and a few moments after, Victorique noticed my presence.

"Kujo. What are you doing here?" Victorique asked me putting up an annoyed face.

"Umm, I was planning to visit you today. That's why I came here." I told her in reply.

I saw her stare at me and then she went back to reading her books again. I sat down beside her and looked at the book she was reading, and when I glanced at her face, I noticed that she looked like she was enjoying herself and bored at the same time.

"Umm, Victorique?" I tried to ask her something but suddenly the elevator swung open and somebody with a weir hairstyle came out. 

"Oh there you are baby squirrel. Come here." the guy with the weird hairstyle told me.

I wondered who he was and what was he doing there. I asked him, "Umm, excuse me, but who are you?"

He continued on talking and talking without minding me. I seemed a little bit pissed off that's why I told him, "Excuse me, but who are you??!"

"Ohh. So the baby squirrel is now mad. Very well then, I shall introduce myself. My name is Grevil. I am the investigator here in Saubure. Nice to meet you baby squirrel." He finally introduced himself.

I'm sure that he noticed that Victorique was there. I'm wondering why he doesn't even mind to give a glance to her. Until then, Grevil kept on asking me questions that are in relation to a certain case that was happening in Saubure and that was about a maid killing the high priest or something.

"Do you want me to reconstruct it for you?" Victorique told me out of the blue.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"If you would, baby squirrel." Grevil told me and looked at me straight to the eye.

Just then, Victorique started talking about the murder case and who the culprit was. Hearing that, Grevil left and he gave ME his thanks. I wonder why he wouldn't talk straight to Victorique. The elevator opened and there he said that it was nice meeting me. "What about Victorique?" I thought.

"Say, who is that guy?" I asked Victorique.

"he's my brother." Victorique replied.

Then and there, Victorique told me about her life, what happened when she was born and how she ended up staying at the library. I learned that she lived a sad, boring life and that all she ever wanted was to get rid of the boredom she has been experiencing for years. Because of that, I am one step closer to knowing Victorique more.
