Severus Snape

I was called up by Dumbledore, telling me that there had been an accident with a new student. That the girl had done a dangerous curse that had broken every window and cut off the electricity everywhere in and around London. So me, three professors and Hagrid went to the place where she performed the spell.

While flying over London the seriousness of the damage she had done became clear, it was complete and utter chaos. People running around in panic, screaming the apocalypse had started, ambulances trying to get to wounded people and police trying to calm everyone down but not succeeding.

The place where the girl lived was relatively calm, I noticed when we landed in her backyard. The garden was covered in glass coming from the backdoor and the house is only lit up by the moon.

"We ought to be careful, we don't know how dangerous this student is. So have your wand ready." I tell the other professors.

Hagrid is having doubts, "But she might as well be just a little girl.. shouldn't we just.."

"Are you doubting me, Hagrid?" I say looking him straight in the eyes and he immediately looks down, shaking his head.

We walk closer to the house and stop when we hear footsteps coming towards us. A girl appears reaching down to grab a cat that is growling at us.

She asks, "What's wrong, Marlow?" before looking up at us. She matches our description, a 10year old girl with long black hair and dark eyes. When I look into her eyes she freezes and I have to admit I do too. She looks familiar, like someone I used to know and someone who was very important to me but it could hardly be.

However someone else comes running in, asking for the girl. "Elizabeth, What is taking you so long?" The voice is one I never thought I would hear again and when the woman comes running around to corner, I'm stunned.

Because before me stands Raven Frost, the only woman I ever loved after Lily Potter and the woman who I presumed dead.

Seeing the two of them next to each other it's clear that the girl, Elizabeth, is Ravens daughter. Even though there are quite a lot of differences, Raven has this blond hair and light blue eyes and her daughter has this pitch black hair and very dark eyes. The girl did inherit the wild curls from her mother but the rest must come from the father.

I would be lying if I denied that I'm quite hurt about the fact that she had a daughter with someone else. Also because she probably ran away from me to be with that man while I thought that something bad had happened to her and went searching for..

I'm pulled from my thoughts when Raven suddenly yells 'NOW!' and the girl starts to run away. We all pull our wands out and point them at each other.

"She's escaping. Go get her!" I say and Raven gets angry.

"Don't you dare touch her! I'm warning you, Severus!" Her wand lighting up dangerously when she begins to fire spells at me. Dodging them all, I try to get past her so I can go after the girl. She's a very powerful witch so it is quite the dual.

"Expelliarmus!" I say and her wand flies out of her hand into mine. The other professors take her so that she can do no harm and imprison her with a spell inside the living room but she keeps fighting and pleading while I'm walking after the girl.

"She didn't know what she was doing. It was an accident, she is just a child! Please, Severus. Don't do this!" She yells.

In the distance I can see the girl running down the street so I do a spell transporting me right in front of her.

She bumps into my chest and falls on the ground, the tears are running down her face. "Please.. No.. I didn't mean to.."

Grabbing her by the arm, I drag her back to the house.

"I'm sorry, please. I.. I don't know h.. how I did it. It just happened.." she stutters afraid.

I stop, turn her so she faces me. Fear stands in her eyes. "Do you know what you did? How much chaos you created?" I say, towering over her.

She shakes her head, still sobbing uncontrollably.

"Every window in London is broken and the electricity gone. You blew it all up."

Seeing the surprised look on her face, I can tell that she did not know what she had done. But she still needs to get punished for what she did and only Dumbledore can decide her punishment.

Stepping back into the house, she runs to the invisible wall separating her and her mom, banging on it. "Mom?" she cries, looking confused "What's going on? What's going to happen to me? I'm scared.."

Raven is standing on the other side trying to calm her daughter down. "It's alright, sweetheart, you're going to be fine.."

"Snape, we need to go." Says Hagrid and the girl quickly backs up when the half giant walks in. I'm beginning to think that Raven hasn't told her anything about the wizarding world.

"Does she know?" I ask Raven who shakes her head and answers bitterly.

"I wasn't planning on telling her at all."

I raise my eyebrows, finding it strange that she wouldn't tell her daughter where she comes from.

"Know what?" the girl asks still eyeing everybody in fear.

"That you're a wizard.." I bluntly say, looking at Raven who is staring at me furious.

"What?!" She whispers, dropping the cat she was holding in her arms.
