I'm Snape's daughter?

Chapter Four

Severus

When I let go of her hands, her eyes rolled back in her head and she collapsed in my arms. The storm had exhausted her. While carrying her through the corridors, I repaired the damaged she had done with some simple spells.

"Severus, I see you have brought the young lady with you." Dumbledore says when I enter his office.

"Yes, but due to the incidents we had on the way here, I'm afraid she won't wake anytime soon." I say while placing her on the bed that Dumbledore had placed because he had already foreseen this would happen.

"Indeed, she won't so we can discuss this openly." He says as all the other professors come in.

"This is Elizabeth, she's a new student with extraordinary power that she needs to learn how to control. Her mother wanted to raise her daughter without magic and will go through any length to protect her daughter. But I'm afraid that's too dangerous to not teach her, seeing she already had 3 major incidents.

Although I don't find it necessary to keep her here, but I also think it's best if we keep her away from her mother for now. So until the start of the school year she's needs to be watched so that these 'accidents' can be prevented. I trust that you, Snape, will take good care of her?"

"Of course.." I answer, knowing it's too dangerous to let her out of sight.

"During the train ride here, I want her to be accompanied by 2 professors. Professor Snape and professor Lupin?"

I nod looking at Lupin who does the same.

Then professor McGonagall speaks up. "Dumbledore, what about her stay here? Is it safe to let her sleep with the other students?"

Dumbledore answers "We will decide after her stay with professor Snape.. You all can go now, Severus, can we have a word in private?"

Everybody leaves and Dumbledore walks over to Elizabeth who's still asleep.

"Severus, there's something that you need to know but I'm not the one to tell you.. therefor I brought somebody here. Miss Frost, please come in."

Raven walks in and goes straight to her daughter. "Oh no, Ellie, what happened to her?"

"I can assure you, Miss Frost, that she's just fine. The travel here was very tiresome, so she's asleep and recovering." says Dumbledore

"Hello, Severus. It's been a long time." Raven says without looking away from her daughter.

"Indeed, Raven. How have you been?" I ask while coming closer

"Good.." I can see her tense up when I get closer.

"Well, Raven, I think you why I brought you here?" Dumbledore asks.

"Y.. yes.." she stutters. "I'm here to confess something.. to you, Severus."

"Oh?" The little noise escapes my lips.

She's stroking the hair of her daughter while is talks.

"12 years ago, I ran away.." her voice is trembling.

I interrupts her, already knowing what's coming next. "to be with someone else.."

"No.." she says and I'm confused, I guess I assumed wrong then. She continues..

"Because I didn't know what to do. At the time, I was just 21 and I was scared of how people were going to react.. and how you were going to react.. " She takes a deep breath in and tries again. "going to react to.. react to.."

"To what?" I ask impatiently.

"To my pregnancy.." she whispers

I almost didn't hear it and I look at her, pregnancy?

"What?!" I asks confused.

"I was pregnant.. with your daughter. Elizabeth is your daughter, Severus."

"No, you're lying! You're manipulating me into giving you your daughter back. You can't foul me!" I yell, walking until I'm right in front of her.

Continuing my rant about her being a liar is abruptly stopped by Dumbledore who shouts "It is true, Snape, the girl is yours. Just look at her!"

I slowly turn around to look at her and when I do my eyes are glued on her face. I finally see what they mean, where else would she have gotten the colour of her hair and her dark eyes.

"Elizabeth Eileen Snape is your daughter." Dumbledore adds.

"You named her after my mother?" Raven nods still standing against the wall with tears in her eyes.

I reach over and trail a finger over her face, putting the hair behind her ear.

Behind me I hear Dumbledore talking to Raven about her daughter.

"She's quite dangerous, because of the huge amount of power she received from the both of you. So we will keep her in a safe place where she can do no harm until school starts." Dumbledore explains.

"Where?" Raven asks

"She'll be staying with Severus. Also we concluded its best if you keep your distance from her. As we think the reunion will include a lot of emotions and then it will be harder to control herself.."

"I understand, to be honest with you there have been a couple incidents before, small ones but still.." She sighs when she tells this.

"I put a spell on our house to stop her from breaking things, thinking that it would be enough but deep down I knew that one day she would break the spell."

"I have one last question. Can I be the one to tell her? Can I write her a letter where it says that you're her father?"

"Of course." I answer and she steps to her daughter, our daughter.

She gives her a kiss on her head, "I'm going to miss you, sweetheart, but your dad is going to take good care of you. I will see you soon, I hope.." then she turns and walks out but not without saying these last few words.

"You better take good care of her or else.. I'm watching you, Severus!"
