I have always liked the rain, but walking in rain wasn't my favorite thing to do. I had just left Brook's house and I already wanted to go back. I went over there in the first place because my parents were home. They started to fight and I couldn't take it so I went to the person who popped in my head first, Brook. She looked so cute in her huge purple sweatshirt, and shorts. Her long hair pulled up into a sloppy bun with her reading glasses on. She had a cute confused look on her face when she answered the door and I couldn't help but be really flirty. I kept playing our conversation over and over in my head. i really was starting to like her and I couldn't help but smile when I heard her name.
The next morning I went out for a run. My hair was still a little damp from my shower when I left the house, and it gave me a slight chill with the morning breeze. By the time I got back I had to take another shower because of my sweat. When I finished getting dressed I walked down stairs to find my parents sitting on the couch. This took me by surprise because they were not fighting
"Son, do you know Lorraine Net?" he asked. "Brooks mom right?" I said while tilting my head a little. "Come sit please." my mother added. "Yes, it is Brook's mom and well I work with her and we have known each other for a while now, and your dad and I have thought that it would be best for you to stay at the Net's house while we go to a Rehab for drinking in Brazil. They are the best facility we could find and we will be gone all summer." my mother finished. "Thats great but why do I have to leave?" I asked. "Because you are still a child, and besides we know you and Brook get along." my dad added. "Wait, how do you," I began but my dad cut me off. "You are getting off subject, go pack you bags and meet us down here at ten a.m. sharp." my dad finished and with that, I ran upstairs and packed my bags.
I was really nervous about staying over there but how else was I going to get closer to her. I was glad my parents were trying to stop there drinking problems and I didn't want to make them change there mind. With all my friends gone for the summer on trips and stuff, this was a perfect summer to find myself and see who I wanted to be. I knew Brook was the answer, but I didn't know what she was the answer to yet.
