Time for a random thought I got at lunch while I was eating and almost spit out my food!

Okay, so, y'know how the universe is the biggest thing there is? And it's constantly expanding?

Technically, the universe is always at max size so what would it expand to? And I believe the star birth to death rate is about 1:4 so that's out. So my friend said thats because the universe is expanding into black holes and such, which is true.

So heres my point:

If the universe is constantly expanding, and expanding into black holes: doesn't that mean that the universe is technically shrinking while it is expanding?

I rest my case of craziness.
