"I'm so sorry John." Alexander said sadly as tears spilled from his eyes. "I-it's okay Alex." Alex had gasped and smiled whilst tears fell from his eyes. "If you hadn't done what you did, Maria would have possibly been dead for all we know." John smiled and Alex had felt a fluttery feeling seeing his boyfriend smile. The perfectly white pearly teeth. His beautiful pink lips. The freckles that strike his face like a mini galaxy. And lastly, forest colored eyes to tie it all in. Alexander fell in love all over again.

"Let's just leave them alone." Eliza winked at John and he silently thanked her. They rest of the group left and the couple were left. "I'm sorry." Alexander uttered sadly wiping his tears with his free hand. "It's okay Alex. You did what you needed to do. I'm here, alive and well. But I'm really hungry." Alex nodded and grab the remote with the help button. He pressed it and a nurse walked in. "Hi there, what's you question?" The lady asked picking up the board at the end of the bed. "I was wondering if I can eat?" She looked up and smiled. Her green eyes were warm and comforting. She had her hair up but a single curl fell from her face. "Yes you are allowed. I'm Claire and if you need any help just press that button." She smiled and sped up. "She's nice." Alex said sitting up. "I'll see what's there in the cafeteria." Alex said and he got up and left.

John stayed in the room. It was quiet. The only sounds were the beeping of the machine and the people rushing around outside it room. John closed his eyes and felt the bright hospital light beam down on him. John felt sleepy. So he slept. But it wasn't long till Alexander had woken him up. "Hey, John. I brought you a sandwich, jello, and some chips." Alex smiled as he handed John the food. "Thank you babe." John smirked as he drooled over his meal. "I'm starting to feel that you like this sandwich more than me." Alex said hiding his smile. "No, never in a million years!" John exclaimed taking a large bite of his sandwich. "I fixed up the apartment. And I know we don't have much but I'll come to buying things soon." Alex said taking one of John's chips. "Who's paying for my hospital bill? I don't have the money. And I can barely afford anything and..." Alex had shushed John. "The Schuyler's dad is paying. Cause he feels bad that Peggy had shot you." Alex said looking down at his lap. "Anything on Peggy?" John asked and Alex shook his head. "How are you feeling?" Alex asked wiping his mouth with a napkin. "I'm a little woozy. I don't think I'll remember much. And I can't feel anything." John answered wiggling his toes. They were visible under the blanket. "Am I wearing socks?" John asked and Alex shrugged. Alex got up and lifted the blanket. "Oh my god, your socks are purple." Alex laughed and John looked over at his feet. "Oh." He smiled. "John pressed the call button and Claire came back. Oddly she still looked amazing with bags under her eyes. "What's your question?" She smiled resting her hands on her hips. "When will I be let out?" She furrowed her brows and looked down at the clipboard. "Well you can be let out now. We just have to prescribe your pills, make sure your wound is okay, and if you are good enough to leave." She smiled going over to John. She put the stethoscope on his chest. "Well you're breathing is good. So I think you could be discharged. Let me talk to a doctor. She went out and closed the door behind her.

Moments later a doctor came in. "Hello, my name is doctor Melendez. Let me see your chart." He said grabbing the clipboard and examining it. A tattoo was on his chest. Looked like an antler. "Yeah he can be discharged. He just needs to take the meds at night because they will make him drowsy." The doctor said handing Alex a form with the prescription and the bill. "Take good care of him. A month from now, which is when the pills are done. Bring him in. We will give you a call and that is when the appointment will be set. That's when we take the stitches out." The doctor again checked if everything was okay and now the two lovers were on their merry way.

Alexander had called an Uber and they waited inside. Alex's phone buzzed. The message had been that he was there. Alex dragged John to the Uber and put him in the back. "I'm going to sit in the front okay." Alex whispered and John nodded heavily. Alex closed the door and went to the front. "Hi, how are you?" The driver asked and that threw Alexander in a flashback. "Not so great, but I had a long day and I just wanna go home." Alex replied truthfully hoping that the driver wouldn't ask more. "That's respectable, hope you don't mind music." He said and he turned up the volume a tad bit. The ride went quiet but smoothly.

"Hey man, I bet you had a rough day. But we're here." The driver said shaking Alex. "Oh I'm sorry. Thank you." Alex smiled exiting the car to get John out. "Okay baby, lets go inside." John woke up and squinted. "Okay Lexi." Alex smiled and grabbed his boyfriend's hand taking him out. The Uber drove off and the couple walked into the building into the apartment. Alex fished around for his key and opened the door. Walking past the kitchen and the living room. Alex dropped John off into the room. "Will you stay?" John mumbled pulling the blankets. "No baby, I'm going to unpack a little and get your meds." John nodded and Alex left the room. Closing the door behind him he sighed walking out into the living room.

"Hello Alexander."
