Just go with it! [Book 1]

New day

Today's the first full day in our new home. I can't help but feel a little excited to think this is our fresh start! Me and mom decided today we will get everything put away and set up, that way we can just relax before school starts in a few days and moms new job.

As the day goes on I decide to ask mom how she's really doing. "Mom how are you feeling?" I ask. " I feel good hunny" she says. I know she's not telling the truth by the sadness in her eyes. I just give her a small frown and she knows I don't buy it. She gives a little smile "I'm still upset and mad at your father , but I'm happy to start over in our new house where the memories aren't surrounding me. I have you too sweetie keeping me sane" . I walk over and give her a hug "Mom I'll always be here for you".

We continue our day cleaning and putting stuff away. I feel stir crazy so I tell mom I'm gonna go for a walk and get a feel for the neighborhood. I go to my room and throw on a pair of cut off shorts and a white tank top. The weather is perfect not to hot and not to cool out. I start walking down the street most of the houses are pretty similar looking. I can see the high school from right outside my neighborhood Seminole High School I read the big letters on the side of the building. My soon to be new school.

As I walk back to the house I see a group of kids a house down from mine. As I get closer I notice they look around my age. There's three guys and a girl. They wave hey and I waved back as I start walking up my drive way. "Mom I'm back" I called, I walked back in. I hope making friends here is easy.
