Just go with it! [Book 1]

First day

So it's already Monday! The last couple of days have flown by for me and mom. It's both our first days me at school my senior year,  mom at her new job. She's going to be working at our local hospital as a nurse in the NICU. It's a exciting and nerve racking day.

As I'm getting ready I look through my closet to see what I should wear. I figure I'll throw on my favorite black skinny jeans,  maroon off the shoulder top and black boots. I wear my burgundy waist length hair down straight and go with just basic make up eye liner and mascara. I do a once over in my body length mirror and approve.

As I walk into the living room I see mom putting her badge on and about to walk out the door also. I give her my biggest smile and she gives me one just as equally big back. I can tell she means it so it makes me that much more happy. We both at the same time day "Just go with it!" It's our new saying. We can't worry about the past and worry about the future we just have to go with it and see what happens.

I hug her bye "Have a wonderful day mom!". I run back into the kitchen to grab a banana for breakfast. I walk out and lock the front door as mom is driving out of the neighborhood. I don't need a car to get to school sense we live so close. I start walking down the drive way when one of the kids I seen a couple days ago is doing the same. He looks about 6'1 with a athletic build he's very handsome. He has dark brown hair and a olive skin tone. He noticed me watching him and waits for me to make it to his drive way. Once I'm next to him I notice his beautiful green eyes. "Good morning , My name's kayden" He reaches out and shakes my hand. "My name's Jessabell, nice to meet you". I'm only 5'3 so he towers over me. "I seen you and your mom moving in, where you from?" He asks. "We moved from West Palm beach Florida" I notice him studying me as I'm talking. "Wow pretty far move. I've been to Florida a couple times on vacation" he says. At this point we make it to school sense it's a pretty short walk. We head our separate ways as we walk up to the front of the school. "See you around jessabell" he call out as he walks to the group of friends I seen him with before.

I walk into the the main office to get my new schedule. I'm a little nervous at this point I don't know my way around the school and the only person I know isn't around. The halls are crowded with kids and I see some curious people noticing the new girl. The principal greats me with a warm smile and introduced herself as Mrs.Griffin. She informs me she will have a girl she introduces as Megan help me find my classes. Megan doesn't seem to pleased. She's about 5'5 skinny with jet black hair. I introduce myself to her "I'm Jessabell thanks for helping me out today" she looks as if she had a bad taste in her mouth as she walks out of the office and just loud enough for me to hear "As if I had a choice" she says.

I can tell Megan and I are gonna be great friends, I think to myself which I can't help but to roll my eyes. I walk behind her to my first class which is English. Megan points to my door and walks away to her group of friends as they all look at me with disdain. I ignore them and take a seat at the back. The girl from the group by my house walks into class. She see' s me and takes a seat next to me "Hey I'm Dakota" she says. She has curly strawberry blonde hair light skin and hazel eyes. She has a welcoming demeanor to her. I introduce myself back. We talk through class and it goes by pretty fast. She gives me her cell number, as we wave bye to each other and go separate ways.  The rest of the morning goes the same Megan walking me to classes and me introducing myself to everyone.

Finally lunch time. I didn't grab lunch so I decide I'll walk somewhere to get food. I walk to subway grab a sub and head back to school to get the rest of the day finished. It drags on till I finally hear the last bell ring. I walk back home and throw myself onto the couch to relax.
