The doctor came back in with a grin on his face. Finally, some good news.
"Maddie, the reason why you felt that way, and the blood test proved, your medicine is working and that's just the side effects. You can go home anytime."
The doctors words were a relief.
"Thanks doctor" Maddie said with a smile.
He left and clicked the door shut behind him.

"Maddie, I'll see you later." Harry said "come on, babe I want to show you something"
"Okay. Bye Maddie, love you!"
"Love you too"

Harry takes me by my hand and leads me out of the hospital to his car.
"Get in" he says
"Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise"
I get in the car, and think about where he could be taking me. Me and Harry have been dating since senior year, which I graduated two years ago today. Harry puts in a cd which was from my chorus program.
"Harry..you still have this?" I say as I put my hand on my face.
"Of course. You were the most beautiful, talented person up there"
I blushed a little. Harry always makes me laugh and he's really a good guy. People say he's a bad guy, don't get involved with him, he'll break your heart and blah blah blah. But they must be talking about a different Harry styles, because this one cried when he had to put his dog down.
"Please tell me where we're going"
"I said its a surprise, trust me"
I just sit back and wait.

While he's driving, he looks over at me and takes my hand.
"I love you so much Marie"
"I love you, too" I lean over and kiss his cheek.
He's my bestfriend I love him so much. I really do. And he loves me.
We arrive at my house and I give Harry a puzzled look.
" I'm just going to run in and get my jacket, I'll be back" I didn't question him

"Hello?" Harry called
"Hey Harry come on in"
"Can I speak to you for a moment?"
"Of course Harry. What's going on?"
"Well, me and Marie have been dating for two years now and ma'am, I really love your daughter"
"I know you do Harry, she loves you too."
"And I wanted to ask your permission to ask for her hand in marriage"
"Oh Harry! That's wonderful! you know her dad is still away. I will talk to him. You have my blessing."
"Thankyou so much. I've got to go now, I told Marie I was getting my jacket"
"Okay bye"

Harry comes back out and gets back in the car.
"What took you so long?"
"Your mom stopped to talk"
"Oh I'm sorry" I laugh a little.
"It's okay. Now let's get to the surprise place." Harry took my hand and interlaced his fingers with mine.
