We ran down the steps.
"What's wrong?' Lyla inquired
"I'll tell you when we get down there." I hissed through my teeth. We got to the den in the back of the house. There were papers everywhere. It was weird.
"What the fuck!?" Lyla exclaimed
"What's wrong?" I ran over.
"These papers feel wet and sticky," She explained. The paper was stained with blood. I read what I could make out.
Day 1
It's getting worst. I can't stand myself. I wish I could just jump out of the window. No one will understand how I feel. Only if I could just tell Bryan. I don't think he'll understand though. I wish I was just like him. Always happy, not stressing. I-I can't kill me. I need to set it up so that no one would ever suspect what I've been feeling. I wonder how this will hurt Sky. I hope she doesn't go the same way.
Day 14
I found a way to do it. The Midnight Game. If the game is the real deal all I have to do is provoke the midnight man. Now I need to get Bryan and them to play with me. That way it looks like it is innocent.
"Damn," I whispered
"What's wrong?" Lyla asked
"Jay failed purposely," I explained
"What do you mean?" Lyla asked
"He was depressed but he didn't want to commit suicide because he thought that it would cause a ripple effect," I explained
"Wow. I would never have seen Jay doing that." Lyla replied.
"Yeah. Neither did I..." I said to her "I feel bad I should've seen it coming."
"Come on let's grab these." She told me. We grabbed the papers and started to walk out the room. I looked down the hall and saw a silhouette of a man. Then I heard a whisper that I bearly heard.
"You're next" then it started to move at crackhead speed towards me so I backed into the room and slammed the door. In the same motion, I nearly knocked Lyla over we both fell into the desk chair.
"WHAT ARE..." She exclaimed but I put a finger to my lips
"Shut up," I said harshly but quietly. She gave me a dirty look but listened to me. I looked out the door and saw the silhouette at the other end of the hall. It was just standing there. I ducked back into the room.
"He's out there just standing there," I whispered
"What do we do?" Lyla asked me
"We have to just sit here and wait," I replied
"I'm not going to do that." She said
"You can't do nothing else it is a risk of losing one of us when we leave," I told her.
"I don't care," she said. Then she went to the door and I grabbed and threw her into the chair.
"You aren't leaving," I instructed
"Stop me," she said and she opened the door. I heard some footsteps than in the spur of the moment I jumped in front of Lyla and felt a for hit my diaphragm I could barely breathe but I quickly grabbed salt and surrounded Lyla. She was just laying there but I saw her chest rise and fall then I turned around just in time to feel something knock me down I then felt of force on my chest and all I felt was something fill my chest and my vision went blank.
