Aurora Kaili was blessed with a curse. Enchanted by a powerful mutant to fall into a sleep-like paralysis by sunset on her sixteenth birthday, she was forced into hiding, taken away from her parents to live with her godmothers in the city under the guise of Briar Rose Kaili, in the hopes that they could avoid the curse and keep her safe. So, despite being the daughter of two powerful mutants, her identity was kept a secret, her godmothers keeping such a tight leash on their own mutations that, when Aurora's manifested, she kept it a secret.

Of course, it wasn't all bad. She was able to go to school and, while her godmothers made it rather difficult for her to make friends or spend time with other people, she wasn't too lonely, and she was able to make the most of her situation, befriending the animals in the tree by her window and happily talking with her classmates whenever she had the chance.

But with her sixteenth birthday growing ever closer and the fear of being caught by Maleficent looming over the horizon, Aurora decided to take matters into her own hands, reaching out to local superhero Spider-Man to ask for protection in the days leading up to her birthday, trying to find a way to ensure that, if something should go horribly wrong, she would be able to fix things and keep everyone she loved safe, including herself.

But despite all precautions, fate had a funny way of staying on course, and Aurora soon finds herself on a race to save herself, seeking help from the ones she loves and those who love her in order to break the curse placed by one who just wanted to be loved.
