Chapter Seven: The First Task

"What on bloody hell do you think you're doing?" Taehyung's grip on Jisoo's arm was so tight that she thought that it would leave a light bruise on it later.

"I—" Jisoo couldn't answer back being startled.

"Did you hear?" Taehyung continued to interrogate the petrified Jisoo. "I said, did you here?!" This time, Taehyung's voice came out a little louder.

Jisoo suddenly snapped out from her dazing and got the courage to glare back at the blond boy in front of her. She got annoyed when Taehyung started to shout at her so instead of answering him, Jisoo just scoffed and rolled her eyes at him and then eyed the woman behind him. Taehyung noticed and he immediately stepped sideways, blocking Jisoo's view of Irene.

"What are you still doing here?" Taehyung exclaimed and Jisoo knew that he was talking to the woman behind him even though his eyes were fixed on hers. "Leave!" Taehyung demanded and to Jisoo's surprise, the woman immediately did what she was told to but not before bowing towards Taehyung in a respectful manner.

"What are you? Some kind of a master for you to just boss her around?" Jisoo accused incredulously and she saw him flinch but immediately straightened his expression.

"None of your business." Taehyung growled as he trapped Jisoo with both of his arms to her sides, his face just inches close to hers.

Jisoo was just about to retaliate when they got distracted by the six figures that were coming their way noisily. Taehyung quickly pushed himself away from Jisoo while the girl immediately turned the other way to avoid making eye contact with the incoming people.

"Oh! There he is!" Taehyung looked up to see Jimin pointing towards his direction and he was not alone for he was with the rest of his friends and to his surprise, both Jin and Yoongi were with them too.

"Jin hyung! Yoongi hyung!" Taehyung greeted casually.

Upon hearing her brother's nickname, Jisoo's head perked up to see who Taehyung was looking at. Her eyes darted to the people who distracted them from their conversation.

"Oh, Jin. Isn't that your sister?" Yoongi commented upon seeing Jisoo by Taehyung's side.

"It is her." Jin confirmed. "Jichu!"

Jisoo's eyes widen in confusion as she saw his brother together with Taehyung's friends. As soon as the guys arrived in front of Jisoo and Taehyung, they looked puzzled as well since she was with Taehyung. Jin finally noticed his sister's confused look and he just chuckled, ruffling her hair at the same time.

"By the way you look, i'm guessing you didn't know?" Jin started and eyed his sister. "Jichu, meet my friends. Hoseok, Namjoon, Jungkook, Jimin and— Taehyung."

It finally dawned on Jisoo. Of course, her brother was in Slytherin in his school days at Hogwarts and it would make sense if he's friends with them. But to her utter disappointment, why him? Why Taehyung?

On the day of the First Task, the champions were gathered in their Tent, waiting for their Headmasters and the other officials to arrive. The tent was located by the Quidditch Training Pitch. And just outside their tent, was a Quidditch pitch located in the Hogwarts grounds, smaller than the Quidditch Stadium where actual games were held. A noticeable difference is that this training pitch does not contain any goal hoops, rendering it unfit to actually play the game, and presumably why team Captains preferred to use the Stadium instead. It did not, however, have any spectator stands, preventing students from other Houses to spy on the training.

"Hundred bucks for Lee!" Bobby announced with the money in his hands, waving it towards Joshua and Jeonghan who were the ones who started the bet.

"Ya! You traitor!" Yunhyeong accused. "I thought you're friends with Jisoo?"
