The Triwizard Tournament

Chapter Thirty: The Last Task

The third and last task would involve the champions swimming into the Black lake to retrieve the Triwizard Cup. All three champions assembled on the shore of the lake, and were told that they had only one hour to find and retrieve the Cup. The first one to retrieve it will be declared the Triwizard Champion. They notified everyone that spectators will have no knowledge of what's going to happen during the task until at least someone returns but they will be able to monitor the time remaining by observing the provided clock.

"Good luck, champions!" Head Master YG exclaimed and he together with the other game officials started to retreat back towards the provided tent near the shore, leaving the them behind.

A canon was heard and Taeyong was fast to head for the water until he dove and never came back up. Jisoo and taehyung both followed right after. Taeyong had partially transfigured himself into a shark while Jisoo utilised the Bubble-Head charm to breathe under water. Taehyung on the other hand ate a gillyweed which gave hi, gills to breathe and gave him webbed hands and feet to allow him to swim faster, but he was still swimming behind Jisoo, looking out for her.

"This idiot." Jisoo said inside her head and went to stop swimming.

Taehyung noticed that Jisoo had stopped and became alarmed. He quickly swam in front of her and checked her for any problems but he was met with scrutinizing look she have. Taehyung realized that Jisoo was pissed at him for even thinking about her first than be mindful of the task at hand.

"Right. I have to find the Cup first and destroy it." Taehyung thought.

Taehyung nodded, understanding Jisoo's intention. Taehyung quickly swam away until Jisoo couldn't see him anymore. Jisoo too started to move and scanned the underwater environment. She thought that they will be having a hard time locating the Cup in that vast area.

I have to hurry and catch up with them." Jisoo decided.

"Aw man! This sucks!" Bobby complained.

"This whole Final task is making me nervous as hell." Nayeon seconded.

"Not being able to know of what's happening." Yunhyeong added.

"I'm worried for Jisoo. I hope she's okay." Sowon prayed.

"Don't worry. It's Jisoo we're talking about. I'm sure she can handle this." Sungcheol exclaimed.

"Where are Joshua and Jeonghan by the way?" Bobby noticed that two of their friends weren't with them. "Are they still collecting bets? Aish."

"Guys! Guys!"

Bobby and the rest looked back and saw Joshua running his way towards the bleachers with Jeonghan behind him. Joshua looked terrified and did Jeonghan. Bobby was about to ask them about what was wrong but they got distracted when they saw the teachers running from here and there.

"You won't believe what's happening back at the Headmasters' tent!" Joshua said upon their arrival.

"What's going out there? Why is it the teachers seemed to be so tensed?" Nayeon asked in curiousity.

"That's the thing. It seemed like V's father and the Game Officials were arguing about something. Even the headmasters were on it too." Jeonghan reported.

"What? Lord Heechul?" Bobby asked in bewilderment.

"Something's not right." Yunhyeong noted and eyed their surrounding.

Bobby hissed and was about to head back down to find some answers but they got intervened by Prof. GD. By the time that the professor got to them, they already saw teachers escorting the students back at Hogwarts and they seem to be in a hurry.
