Chapter Twenty: The Kim Manor

"What the hell are you all doing here in my home?"

"Hey there, kim Taehyung!" Jisoo grinned.

"I said, what the hell are you doing here?!" Taehyung almost ran up towards them with his tensed up face and shaking voice, telling them that he was angry.

"Now, now Taehyung." Lord Heechul cold voice interrupted their heated confrontation. "Play nicely." Lord Heechul gave his son a warning glare and Taehyung could only stare back at his father silently.

Everyone inside the hall looked tense and couldn't even utter a single word. Jisoo tried to look up at Taehyung in front of her but her eyes caught the sight of Taehyung's father instead. He was indeed a terrifying-looking man. It's not because his face was scary, no. He was quite a handsome man if you look at him, but there's something about this Lord Heechul that made him terrifying.

"My Lord, the dinner is served." Irene broke the deafening silence.

"Now, shall we all eat?" Lord Heechul smiled and was the first one to head for the Dining table.

After the awkward dinner, the guests were ushered to the second floor of the Kim Manor where there was a wide common area for them to wait until someone will show them their rooms. Jimin was with them since Taehyung had left to confront his father about what was happening.

"I'm going to kill you, Kim Jisoo!" Bobby growled. "When you told us to join you in a vacation, we thought about France! But what the hell is this about, huh?"

"I'm sorry! I really did mean to go back to go with you back at France, but there's some changes and if I told you about it, you'll back out!" Jisoo explained.

"Damn sure we will!" Bobby hissed at his childhood friend.

"Calm down, Bobby-ah." Yunhyeong intervened. "Jisoo must have a reason as to why she decided to spend the School Break here, right?" He turned to Jisoo this time.

"Of course." Jisoo answered. "But—"

Jisoo didn't want to tell anyone the reason. How could she? I mean who would agree to someone's invitation just because she got curious about a person's life? And the fact that that person's father was the one who invited her.

"You don't have to tell us the reason, Jisoo-ah." Nayeon broke Jisoo's trance. "We would understand, but you could at least gave us a heads up. Especially that it's V's father who invited us."

"I really am sorry you guys. I tried inviting Jennie and the rest but they said that they wanted to go home. They all missed France after all. And my brother couldn't get a break from the Ministry."

"So, I guess you also don't want to reveal us the reason why you came here too?" Jimin asked Taeyong.

"Nope." Taeyong simply answered.

Taeyong wouldn't dare to tell them. He will have to find out everything about Kim Taehyung's family. Especially after hearing rumours about Choi Siwon being one of Lord Heechul's followers, Taeyong didn't think twice to accept the invitation from Taehyung's father.

"Ya. The least you could do is tell us the reason." Johnny sighed. "After tricking us into going with you."

"It wouldn't matter now, Johnny-ah." Yuta chuckled. "Let's just enjoy our vacation here."

"Enjoy?"

Taehyung suddenly appeared with Irene on his side. Taehyung looked annoyed but worried at the same time. He eyed them one by one until his eyes fell on Yuta.
