Chapter 8: His Sacrafice

Hinata's P.O.V~

As soon as Naruto was here, he had to leave..... I'm scared.... I have a bad feeling about this war.... Naruto, I need now more than ever...

" Hinata, are you alright?" Neji looks at me with slight worry.

"Y-Yes, I'm fine, just over thinking." Neji nods his head and then we proceed to our next destination, the main battle field.

Once we make it their it looks like Naruto and the others are stuck. I run as fast as I could to Naruto's side. Neji soon appears behind me.

We find that the guy who once had a mask on, doesn't anymore. The strange guy was in the middle of a speech, trying to persuade Naruto to give up and how he would kill off his friends until he did so. I find this entire thing mortifying, will Naruto give up? No, no, he would never do that... Right?

".... And the first person I plan to kill, would be her." He points to me, it feels like my heart stop and the rest was played in slow motion.

I saw a spear flying towards me, but my feat felt like they were glues to the ground. Then something, unspeakable happens.. Neji darts on front of me, but right before the spear flys into him, Naruto runs infront of Neji, taking the spear to his abdomen.

In that split second, my life stopped, trying to process everything that happened.

Naruto went back to his normal form and dropped to his knees... Smiling?

"... I'm going to protect my friends... To the bitter end." He falls to the ground, and I scurry over to him.

"Naruto?... Naruto!.... NARUTO, WAKE UP! Can you hear me? Please.... Please wake up.." I had his head pressed against mine.

I then return to my senses. I rap one of Naruto's arms around my neck and bring him to a tent so he can be healed. I pass Sakura on the way and she immediately grabs Naruto's other arm and helps me.

They lay him on a table and are working fast. Soon one of the nurses see me and bring me out of the tent saying that she'll inform me when they're done working. All I do is nod because is am lost for words. He won't die. He won't die. He won't die . I keep repeating that to myself, all I can do is wait nervously. Please Naruto, don't die...
