"What?!" Ron yelled, looking at Harry with a disgusted look. "You're with Hermione now?" Ron looked furious. His face was getting progressively more red. "Ron! Calm down!" Harry said, slightly panicked. "I thought you knew about this!" But apparently, Ron didn't. Based on the way he was behaving, he didn't know at all.

"I didn't realize you'd get so upset!" Harry said. "The first time I told you, you didn't even seem to care!" Ron looked at him with fury. "I didn't know you'd go through with it! I thought you were my friend!" And he simply marched out. Harry headed down to the Great Hall to find Hermione, and he was lucky. Being a Saturday, they had no particular place to be.

"Hermione!" He called. She looked up at him worried. "Something wrong?" She asked. Harry came and sat beside her. Soon after, he was telling her how Ron had reacted. Hermione seemed surprised, more than anything. "Why?" She asked. "He's never acted this way before." Harry shrugged. He was just as confused as she was.

Later that evening, Harry and Hermione went for a walk towards Hagrid's cabin, and stopped by the lake. Harry and Hermione went to sit. There was silence, then Hermione spoke. "Don't let Ron bother you, Harry." She said, softly. Harry sighed. "The thing is, why can't he just be happy for me?" Harry said, focusing on a floating log in the lake.

Hermione rested her head on his shoulder. "He had his chance." Said Hermione quietly; and that was all that was said.

On the way back to Hagrid's, Harry felt a little better. Maybe just to sit and think about things was all he needed.
Hagrid answered the door, happy to see them. "Harry! Hermione! Glad to see ya!" And he let them in. After a long talk, Hagrid finally asked; "Where's Ron?" Harry scowled slightly. Hermione could tell he was upset, and tried to change the subject. "He's just... Working on homework, that's all... How's your last skrewt doing?"

Soon after a long conversation about Blast-Ended Skrewts, Hagrid sent them off. With a last wave, they set off. Hermione looked over at Harry, who was again frowning. Gripping his hand she said, "Please cheer up. C'mon, you'll be friends again." Harry doubted it for a minute, but with Hermione telling him this, it convinced him.

Before they set off to their different dormitories, Hermione kissed Harry on the cheek, then told him good night. Harry smiled, then walked up the stairs. Everyone was asleep, accept Ron. He looked rather upset. When Harry came up, he didn't even look at him. "Ron, don't be this way." He said. Ron looked up for a moment and said, "Sorry." And that was it.

The next morning, Harry walked down to the Great Hall alone the next morning. Hermione had already gone, and of course, Ron was no where to be seen. Harry was in a bit of a bad mood. When he arrived, Hermione was sitting down, munching on some toast. When she saw Harry, she smiled. "Good morning, Harry." He couldn't help but smile. At least someone was talking to him. He came and sat down beside Hermione. "You look happy." He laughed.

Harry walked out of the Great Hall, hand-and-hand with Hermione. When they reached Potions, they let go. Ron was sitting in the same place he always did. Harry came and sat down beside him, silently. Ron looked up at him, then at Hermione. "I'm sorry, Harry." He said sheepishly. Harry turned and looked at him. Ron looked truly sorry. Besides, Harry knew it wouldn't be more than a few days before he apologized. Either that, or Harry would've apologized to him. Again.

"Finally." Hermione huffed; but Harry could see a smile.

{Sorry the plot's so watery to the point. After this chapter I'll try to make it better. I seriously considered deleting it. Thanks for reading!}
