(Don't worry guys! I'll still be adding to this story, and I won't be deleting this one. If anything, I'll be writing a separate Harmione story, but that won't come until later. Thanks for your support, and it makes me happy to see that people enjoy my story!
-HipsterHermione <3 )Harry awoke next morning, a strong headache bugging him. The events of yesterday were jumbled and blurred, besides the "Malfoy Incident."
He gritted his teeth even thinking about it, and to help get his mind off it, he went ahead and got dressed.
The common room was nearly empty, besides that there was a bushy-haired girl sitting on the couch in front of the fire. Harry couldn't help but grin, and went to sir down beside her.
"Good morning, Harry." Hermione smiled, closing the book she was reading.
"Were you waiting for me?" He asked, the slight grin still on his face. Hermione's face turned a light shade of pink, and she looked down at her knees. "Maybe."
Harry couldn't help but mess with her a little. He thought she was beautiful, and the embarrassed grin on her face made him muster a small laugh. "Let's go eat breakfast."Of course, they waited for Ron to clamber down the stairs and join them.
At breakfast, Harry was rather quiet. Hermione and Ron were deep in a conversation about this weeks homework, and as much as Harry wanted to be involved, he couldn't.
He finally convinced himself to get over the incident that has been troubling him, and smiled whenever Hermione looked over at him. Finally, Hermione departed from them, heading to Ancient Runes, and gave Harry a kiss on the forehead goodbye.
He was quiet walking with Ron to their next class, Hermione now flooding his mind. He liked her very much. Loved her very much.
Harry never knew how to tell her. He just knew that he loved being beside her.
Ron woke him up from his train of thought when they got to class.
Later in the day, Harry and Ron went to find Hermione for lunch.
She wasn't outside her classroom. Harry thought this was unusual, since she always waited for him. He began to worry, and went to look for her.He looked in the common room, the Great Hall, even in every single class she attended; but Hermione was no where to be found.
Finally, Harry had no choice but check the girl's bathrooms; something he wished greatly that he didn't have to do. But he loved Hermione, and he needed to know she was okay.
The closest one was just a few feet away, and he walked to the door, trying to listen in.
There was a light sob, and Harry knocked on the door. "Hermione? Is that you?"
It was quiet.
"Harry?" Said a shaky voice.
"Yes, I'm here. Are you alright?"
There was no reply.
"I'm coming in if you don't come out." Harry said. It was a few moments before he heard Hermione's light foot steps arrive at the door. She pushed it lightly, and looked at Harry.
Her eyes we're pink, and her cheeks tear stained.
"What happened?" He asked, reaching for her hand. She let him take it.
"Pansy." She said quietly. "She was talking about how you were too good for me. That you were going to leave me in no time, that you were just coming up with excuses to get away from me. She said you talk about me behind my back." As she spoke these words, tears began to fall down her cheeks once again, and Harry reached up to wipe them away.
"I didn't want to believe her, but I was thinking about how you haven't been telling me things lately, and I began to doubt."
Harry didn't know what to say. He was looking down at Hermione, now silently sobbing into his chest. He loved her, and he couldn't help but feel like it was his fault that she was crying."Hermione, I would never. Pansy has no idea what she's talking about, and the only thing I say about you behind your back is how amazing and beautiful you are. I love you, Hermione."
It went quiet again. Hermione lifted her head up from his chest, looking into his eyes. There was a connection between them at that moment, one that only they were able to feel; something they both felt. Within moments, their lips touched, and Harry felt warmth rise in his chest.
It was a few moments before they let go, and Hermione pulled him into a tight hug. "I'm sorry I doubted you Harry. I love you."
They walked to lunch, hand in hand, fingers intertwined.
