Cassidy's POV

*Flashback* (still in Cassidy's POV)

"Cassidy, while I'm on my business trip, you'll be staying with your father." My mother told me.

I began to pace the floor.

"I've never even met him." I said.

What if he denies me being his daughter?

*End of Flashback* (still Cassidy's POV)

I allowed my mind to refocus. I had stared at my playlist for over 5 minutes.

"kid, are you okay?" Morgan asked me.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I say as I turn to the window.

Morgan sighed. Looking into one of the car mirrors, he watched an impatient driver attempt to pass a slow driver behind them.

"Something wrong?"

"A bad driver." Morgan responded; he realized looking back not only did they speed, but they were drunk.

I also picked up on this as I watched the car swerve back and forth between the sides of the lanes.

The car got closer and closer, speeding through several red lights.

What's the hurry?

The driver attempted to pass us. And just as they got close, they swerved an immediate left.

The screeching sound of brakes was followed by shattering glass and the sound of an ear piercing scream as the metal sliced through the car upon impact.
