Cassidy's POV
I woke up, startled. I heard the sound of what I though was a heart monitor. I felt the presence of another person, which made me feel self conscious.
I attempted to look at myself. Well it didn't really work, because my head was in a neck brace. There was a tube down my throat and I felt really sore.
"Cassidy ?" He asked. I turned to him. "Everything's going to be okay. You don't have to be scared." Which I was, completely.
"Dad, don't profile me." I whispered in a hoarse voice.
He seemed taken back, choking back tears. I had never called him "dad" before.
"I have a right to worry about my daughter. And if I have to profile you, I will."
I smiled weakly at that.
"Someone wants to see you."
"Who?"
"Morgan." He replied.
Why Morgan? Was it something I couldn't remember?
"Oh." I echoed.
"Cassidy." Rossi said, concerned, looking at my confused face. "Do you know what happened?"
I sighed, sadly.
"It's okay. You were in a car accident and Morgan was with you."
"Is he..."
"He's fine." Rossi said, almost reading my mind. "He blames himself."
"Why?"
"He was driving you. When it happened, you were hurt really bad."
"How...how bad?" I ask.
"You nearly died. The window shattered; the glass..." He cut himself off.
"I can handle this." I told him.
"You were losing a lot of blood. The put you in a coma to stabilize you. I didn't know when you'd wake up, and the doctors didn't think you would. That's why."
"It wasn't his fault. I want to see him."
