 The elevator opened and you and Shaun stepped out of the elevator. You stuff your hands in the pockets of your jacket as you walked down the hallway to your apartment room.

''I really liked that movie,'' you say, sparking up a conversation. ''my favorite part was the end when the boy and the girl finally got together.''

''Me too,'' shaun agreed. ''I liked that part too.''

 You two finally arrived at your door. You unlock your door, but before opening it up, you turn around towards Shaun.

''Yeah um.. Thanks for taking me out to the movies, it was nice to finally catch up with my best friend that I haven't hung out with in forever.'' you smile.

 You wanted to hug Shaun, but you knew that Shaun didn't like to be hugged. You stared at Shaun, wondering if he was going to reply. But all he did was give you a blank look. You knew Shaun really well, and from that look, you could tell that his head was flooding with many thoughts. You just wished that you knew what he was thinking.

''Uhhh.. Yeah. You are welcome (Y/N),'' shaun spoke. ''I wanted to tell you that.. That umm..''

 Shaun's words drifted off, as if he had totally forgotten what he was going to say. You lifted an eyebrow. You could tell that his words were right at the tip of his tongue.

''I wanted to tell you that I had a good time tonight too,'' shaun blurted. ''goodbye (Y/N).''

 Before you could even respond he sped off the opposite direction, towards the elevator. You knew that the words that Shaun had just spoken weren't the words that he wanted to speak. You had a feeling that Shaun liked you, but you always tried not to jump to any conclusions. You turn around and enter your apartment room, releasing a heavy sigh. Your phone suddenly buzzes, startling you.

 You thought it was going to be Shaun as you pulled your phone out of your back pocket. But as you turned on your phone, you saw that it wasn't Shaun. It was your other friend, Austin. It didn't show the text so you had to unlock your phone to read the text message. You put your password in and click on your messages, pulling up your text messages with Austin.

''Hey (Y/N). I know this is really weird, but we've been good friends for a long time. And lately, I've been thinking about you. And ever since I've been thinking about you, I came to a realization that I like you. And not like, a friend like, like, I like like you.. And.. I was wondering.. would you like to be my girlfriend (Y/N)?''

You couldn't believe what you had just read. You couldn't believe that Austin wanted to be your boyfriend. You didn't know what to think, but you didn't want to be rude. Before you could talk yourself out of it, you found yourself texting Austin back.

''Yes Austin. Yes! I would love to be your girlfriend!!''

 Shaun straightened the pile of papers and placed them down gently on the counter. He put his hands together and put them in front of him on the desk. He looked around, seeing if you've arrived yet. Shaun had promised himself last night that he was going to tell you how he felt about you today. As time passed, you hadn't showed up yet, but everyone else has
